I really want to like TNA again but really I just can't. Seriously. It's just getting harder and harder to get behind this company. I think I'm turning into Lance Storm. The way I see it is if Joe is unwilling to get into better shape then he simply does not have the dedication nor desire to be a superstar. Didn't Hogan say he wanted more of the Vader,Bam Bam style heavyweights? Probably just meant he wanted Vader and Bam Bam Vader and Bam Bam were taller and more muscular, whereas Joe just looks like your typical 5'10" couch potato. Wait so they can question a guys dedication if his vices are cheeseburgers but if his vices are crazy women or crazier drugs they can come right in and be major players? Priorities? Maybe Bam Bam and Vader were a bit more built, but I believe he also mentioned Bundy and Yoko. Please don't tell me either of them were EVER in better shape than Joe has been at his worst. |

i hate the idea that there's one set "wrestling look". no, you need to look convincing for the character you're playing. if AJ Styles looked like joe then yes, telling him to lose weight makes sense, because an athletic playboy doesn't have love handles. but in joe's case, he needs to look like a samoan badass. and given that when he arrived at TNA, he was greeted with chants of "joe's gonna kill you", it looks like people buy him as one. even if you don't agree that he currently looks intimidating, you can't say that him LOSING weight would make him look tougher. his body type means that he's naturally a bit chunky, and his current weight definately doesn't detract from his ability or stamina in the ring, so i think this is ridiculous given how valuable joe is to TNA.
as someone who's done big business with guys as fat, skinny, short, tall or just plain funny looking as hogan has, you'd think he'd understand that.

I think he might have even left messages. What more could a concerned friend do, right? It's over. The mystery of Joes' disappearance is a cold case. |

His athleticism for a man his size is amazing and he never gets winded. Dude can wrestle 60 minute matches without getting tired. I know his style is toned down a bit due to injuries to his knee's and how he's been wrestling with a torn PCL for the past 3 years but ya. I'm sure he's in better shape then Abyss. You can't tell if he looks winded because of his mask and trust me you do not want to see Abyss shirtless. It's a very scary thing. Plus have you ever heard of a wrestler called Dusty Rhodes? We need more variety among wrestlers imo. |

Funny how Joe was just fine until Hogan & Bischoff showed up. They tell Joe to lose weight but Brian f***ing Knobbs gets booked in a featured storyline!? That comes off as Hogan making exceptions for his buddies, which is a piss poor way to run a company. TNA really needs to stop pissing their talent off.

Meh, he's getting a paid vacation and sooner rather than later, someone in TNA will have their out of their ass long enough to realize what they are wasting or let him go to WWE or ROH and show them what they lost.
