For a quick second last night, I actually thought he'd replace Jeff Hardy in the main event. I'm glad he didn't though, as it would have been a TERRIBLE blowoff to the story they're trying to get across.

To be fair to the "Joe should lose weight" side: Joe is an entirely different wrestler from Ray and Knobs. He's presented differently, booked differently, and wrestles a completely different style of match. "Fat guy who's in a ton of hardcore matches" isn't hard to pull off, but, sadly, one needs only look at some of the forum reactions since 2006 to see how many people view Joe's weight.
To be fair to Joe, however, he was doing pretty damn well without having to drop a bunch of weight.
The positive I hope comes from that: Joe alleviates some pressure off his knees (10-20 pounds off can make a WORLD of difference on your knees/legs/joints), gets the push he deserves. I'm not holding my breath, but I'll cross my fingers.
That said, I love the "NEWZ" that said Bischoff "sees nothing" in Joe, but that Hogan wants to give him a push like he's giving Abyss. Suuuuuure.

I wonder if Eric Bischoff orchestrated the kidnapping to sort of help Joe find his killer instinct again. Spending two months trying to escape from ninjas will probably light a fire under you.
