I have every right to change my mind, but I'm going with legit which will turn into a work when he comes back down the line.
I really now believe he is fired, so I don't see him coming back Monday, but I see him coming back part of the NXT/WWE storyline if it's still going on in a couple months.

What I want to know is how many people have had their post count skyrocket since the news broke? Mine jumped at least 75-100. not a lot. Well mainly because my computer crashed not long after the news broke and I've been out all day. Forgive me for not bein a true smark

Just saw a commercial hyping the next Raw... With a very prominent shot of Danielson.
Don't know if that gives any further information or not, just figured I'd share.

He's legitimately fired. There has been no instance of the WWE doing something like this in the past. Every time they fire someone, unless its part of the storyline, its usually done in the way Bryan was just fired. If the WWE wanted to make it look like they fired him, the would have made it a prominent feature on the front page of their website similar to when Drew McIntyre was "fired". However, Daniel Bryan's firing was done in the same semi-discrete fashion that other wrestlers were fired in (Kung Fu Naki, Shelton Benjamin), so saying this is a work just isn't the WWE's style, especially when their main audience are kids. So it was fun while it lasted for this guy. Expect to see him back on the indy circuit or in TNA, honestly. Personally, I had no idea who this Danielson fella was until NXT, but I think its a shame they had to fire him. I just hope he takes the firing well.

On AM Raw they did not show Danielson's "You're not better than me" stuff with Cena or the spit. They faded to black right after Skip Sheffield's attack. Needless to say they eliminated the closeup of Danielson choking Justin Roberts, though you could clearly see him doing it in the long shot.

We'll see him back just as soon as he starts posting YouTube videos of himself shooting cardboard cutouts of WWE ring announcers.

I rather not see him in TNA. That roster is big enough already with guys trying to make ends meet against guys like hardy and rvd and bringin a guy like Bryan would take away from some of them. Plus I would cringe if I ever see bryan in a russo gimmick match

So it was Hardcore Holly who said he was better than Cena on Monday?

So it was Hardcore Holly who said he was better than Cena on Monday? Hardcore Holly wouldn't have to say it. It would just be implied.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
While I'm sure that this not a work, I do have to say that it is not inconceivable that whoever was the mastermind of the N-vasion would probably have the smarts to come up with something like this release as a work, just to keep internet buzz as the weekend approached.
The real reason I felt like posting was that I'm still amazed that there is not a Wrestler's Union after all these years. Every time someone gets released on a whim (not wellness related) I always wish there was some recourse for those let go. If the only reason Bryan was released was do to the image of him choking Justin was shown on TV, then shouldn't the cameraman that had his camera in Justin's face and the TV director that held the shot for several seconds be fired too? Oh yeah, they are probably in unions, therefore it is easier to release the independent contractor.

There are PLENTY of guys who die for a shot at the WWE and would never agree to be part of a union. Soooo Vince could just NEVER hire anyone that joined a Union.

ARE YOU WORKING US OR NOT VINCE! This is painful. If they are working me right now I swear props to them because I haven't felt this worked since I was a kid. If this IS a work then I will start watching WWE fulltime again instead of occassionally.

Plus I would cringe if I ever see bryan in a russo gimmick match Well there is the 90 day no compete so if he goes to TNA he isn't going to jump ship tomorrow and there are rumors that Vinny Russo is going to be gone in TNA soon. I think Bryan would work well in TNA as long as they have a clear cut plan for him. If they bring him in just to do it without any real plans its not going to end well. I would like to see him in TNA from a personal perspective just to see him jump up the card quick and see him go against Joe, Wolfe, AJ, Angle, Sting, RVD, and others.

The only way a union would work is if a bunch of wrestlers who were main eventers and upper mid card guys threatened to strike the WWE if there demands weren't met. The problem is by the time you get to a position of importance you are usually a company guy who is separate from the rest of the talent guys like Orton and Cena are very indoctrinated into the company that threating a walk out to better the guys down on the lower card wouldn't make sense for them because they got theirs

Pretty sure they said the same thing about every union ever. If grocery store workers, who are FAR easier to replace than, essentially, actors can unionize, so can professional wrestlers.

There isn't just one major grocery store to work for though. It would essentially be a union against the WWE, and that's it. Thus, McMahon could just say "f*** you" to anyone who's part of the union. The WWE MAKES stars in wrestling. Main stream wise that is.

I posted this earlier but it's important damnit!
Sources inside WWE claim that Hornswoggle is actually to blame for the firing of Bryan Danielson. Initial reports claimed that Danielson was fired for choking Raw ring announcer Justin Roberts but that story has changed as more details have become available.
Insiders are saying Hornswoggle used his immense backstage pull to get Danielson released because he felt Michael Cole constantly referring to Danielson's small stature was taking away from his heat.
