Best. Post. Ever Permission to sig? I still dont get why a lot of people are saying the Jets winning is an upset. Yes, they were the 6 seed, but an 11-5 six seed. They beat the Pats @ NE in week 2....just dont get why its a major upset. Because this was an away game against a team that almost never loses at home. Sure they beat them in Jersey, but they got flattened 45-3 at Foxborough. Rex Ryan: "We're moving on. Same old Jets, back to the AFC championship. Only difference is this time we plan on winning."

Plus the fact the Pats were 14-2, 8-0 at home, 5-1 in the division, and 10-2 in the conference, and had an 8 game winning streak. The only other team they lost to was the Cleveland Browns. Yes, the Browns. Not only is this an upset, this is a complete EPIC FAIL. They ignored the trash talk from the Jets and acted all swaggerly like, "Oh, that's just them. We're above that." And then BAM. They got punched right in the mouth.

Ok, I watched some of Rex's press confrence. Umm Why was he so nice? It was weird. You talk a big game and win, mouth off more, that's what'd I do lol
Also as someone said Brady looked bad after the game and I don't mean they lost bad, but sickly bad. Not heathly at all.

Man, that rambling was pretty ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as this: ...but close enough. ps: How awesome would it be if Scott ended the promo just like Steiner.

Pats overacheived during the regular season. They have an undrafted offensive backfield of Green-Ellis/Woodhead and one of the most thrown together WR corps you'd ever see. PLus guys like Deadrick,Ninkovich and Arrington on D. Thats not a good team, no matter who's taking the snaps. Lots of rookies on this team, one of the youngest defenses in the league, a good future (For as long as Brady plays) Pats need to draft O-Line and PAss rush, Period with the 6 picks they have in the first 3 rounds.,

They got punched right in the mouth. It's almost enough to make me doubt all that "good sportsmanship" stuff they taught me in school. Maybe trash talking the other team really DOES give you a psychological advantage, and taking the high road makes you complacent.

I'd say it's more like, "being douches."

Maybe trash talking the other team really DOES give you a psychological advantage, and taking the high road makes you complacent. The Jets make me wonder. They're so over the top and obnoxious with it that I think it can get in your heads. Look at the Colts and Patriots and what they did in these games. The Colts played a very un-Colts game like I've only seen them play once before (the first three quarters against KC this season). It was frustrating to no end today watching New England bust out more fake punts and trick plays than Oregon did in the National Championship game. I think the Jets are so childish and so obnoxious and so in your face that it can affect you. Not in an intimidating fashion, but in a way that they so get under your skin and you're so ready to pound them that you go out of your way and make mistakes. Playing too hard is a real thing, and I think it got a hold of the Pats at points today. As for Rex Ryan, I'm relived to see him show some class. I'm dreading this week because of all the talk and bravado, but if he's reeling it in maybe his knucklehead team will follow suit. Except for Bart Scott that is, who is just a total ass bag. But you already knew that. [/Alberto]

I predict the Jets/Steelers game will set record fines for personal fouls and trash talk in the press.

It is going to be unbearable around here for the next month. I am right in the middle of Fudgepackabear country. Northern IL on the Wisconsin border. Both teams fans are bad enough normally.

In case you're curious....to celebrate her husband's victory, Michelle Ryan will dip her bare feet in Heinz ketchup tonight. She'll dip one foot in Heinz ketchup and the other in Heinz 57 Steak Sauce.

Probably because he realizes that no matter how badly he talks, he cannot possibly be the bad guy in a game where the opposing team is led by a serial rapist. As such, he decided that he should show that he can be humble for once in order to spare America from having to choose which one of them would be the lesser evil.
