Jason Garrett has interim title removed and is the head coach for next season.

He deserves it. I don't know why, because I HATE the Cowboys, but I really like and respect Jason Garrett. Maybe it's because he's a former Giant. Maybe it's also because he's no dummy (he went to both Princeton and Columbia). He seems like the kind of guy to run a tight ship.

WR Wes Welker, WR Deion Branch, TE Aaron Hernandez, OLB Tully Banta-Cain, RG/KR Dan Connolly and DE Mike Wright are all listed as inactive for today's game between the Patriots and the Dolphins.
After looking at that list, I can safely assume that Tom Brady will play less than a full quarter today as opposed to the entirety of the first half, as I had assumed earlier this week.
This is a strange feeling, entering a game that literally means nothing. It's been seven years since the Patriots played a game with their playoff seeding already locked up and nothing at stake. It's a peculiar, yet somewhat relaxing feeling, to be able to kick back and enjoy a Sunday afternoon in which there is nothing to play for.

Dudes, check out the injury report for the Bills/Jets game. Revis, Cromartie, LT, all out. Fitzpatrick, out. Could this one possibly top last years? Nothing can top last year's inaugural The 'Crap Toilet Bowl.

ESPN reports Brett Favre is inactive vs. Detroit. He goes out with a whimper, all becuase of his ego. In fairness, most of 'em do; that's why they're going out in the first place. Troy Aikman is my favorite all time qb, and he had to retire after getting two concussions in one year after a myriad of others over the course of his career. Same deal with Steve Young, Roger Staubach et al. The Elway going out on top thing is pretty rare. ( and even with that, John should be thanking Terrell Davis)

I'm also ok with Garrett taking over. I wasn't at the time he was made interim coach, as I felt he was part of the issue; but he's had the team playing well enough for the most part with the injuries and all to be given a shot.

Jason Garrett makes me hate the Cowboys a little less.
That's worthy enough for him to get the job alone.

ESPN reports Brett Favre is inactive vs. Detroit. He goes out with a whimper, all becuase of his ego. Working hard your entire career and teams begging you to come out of retirement means you have an "ego" problem? I'm not hating on your post or anything, but the media has made a bigger deal of these things than he has. The guy has been hurt all year. This stuff happens! I wish him luck and hope he gets the respect he deserves for the things he has done. He was truly great. He's the best QB to retire since Marino.
