Would I be wrong for nominating Ernie Hudson? Aside from Winston Zeddemore, the only other role I really remember him for is "random police officer" in just about everything else...

Might get some flack for this one, but Sean Connery. Most of his roles are just him playing himself in a different locale.

Will Ferrell probably has some range, he just chooses to cash checks playing the same dumbass character in every movie.
And before anyone mentions 'Stranger than Fiction', I've never seen it and he doesn't seem to want to play anything like that anyway.

Jennifer Aniston. My fiance says she plays the same character in every movie, or maybe she's just a bad actress who can't play anyone else.

Oh, come on: you cannot say Christian Bale. Based on the films of his I've seen. Dark Knight Films X3: Grizzled guy who's emotionally cut off. Dark, tough guy. Terminator Salvation Grizzled tough guy who is dark and emotionally cut off from those around him. 3:10 to Yuma: Grizzled tough guy who has a doesn't say much. Equlibirum: Dark, brooding tough guy. Harsh Times: Grizzled ex-armed forces tough guy who is admittedly - very dark. Shaft: Psycho tough guy who's really dark. That's like 7 movies where he's basically playing the same guy. Maybe he has great range, but outside of American Psycho - I've yet to see it.

To be fair, that guy shows no emotion whatsoever. And would it kill him to take that mask off once in a while?

Adam Sandler. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and the Wedding Singer are all the same character.

Ryan Reynolds.
By the way, actors with this designation should be called "Reginald Vel Johnsons".

Might get some flack for this one, but Sean Connery. Most of his roles are just him playing himself in a different locale. Maybe he doesn't have vocal range, which makes it seem that way more than anything else. But I don't think it's all the same character..
