Joseph Gordon-Levitt is doing pretty well, also...especially recently. Didn't know he was a child star.

Ron Howard has to be on top of the list in my opinion. I loved the Andy Griffith Show, Happy Days, and he has had an excellent directing career. I can't think of a child star who has had that level of success or staying power. He really hasn't gone away since the 60's. My wife says he's also a really nice guy in person (which also comes across in interviews and in general reputation). He invited my wife to lunch after she helped him find the restroom in her office building (they were filming The Dilemma across the street). She got to eat with Vince Vaughn and my longtime crush Jennifer Connolly. ;D

all 3 get regular work, fair enough ricci is probably the one who gets most work out of the three. Dushku does OK, I suppose. Having Joss Whedon as a fan helps. Applegate... you know, I REALLY hate to say this but I wonder if her marketability was hurt by her illnesses. It's easy to promote cheesecake stuff, but look how fast her show got canceled and rolls dried up after the mastectomy. And we come to someone I used to carry a huge torch for, Ricci. She IS a good actress, but she seems to have some issues. Her mouth got her in some trouble early in her career (producers on Sleepy Hollow insisted on a psych profile before agreeing to her casting in case she cracked up in the middle of the movie, all that from some interviews she gave), plus she hasn't had a hit movie in years. Last high profile project was Speed Racer and that died a dog's death. On the pro side of the ledger, what about Kirsten Dunst? She hasn't done badly.

I think if we're going to start throwing Dushku, Dunst, etc. out there, we're surely just trying to name everyone that has appeared in movies/TV as a kid, then as an adult, because they're not in the most successful category by a long shot.

Anthony Michael Hall seems to be pretty well for himself, even if Chris Jericho saw him throwing up in the bushes at the Playboy Mansion. Jerry O'Connell hasn't set the world on fire, but he still finds steady acting jobs. Of course he wasn't a big child star, but he still was able to go from the fat kid in Stand By Me to having a good career. Not to mention he goes home to Rebecca Romijn. Not too shabby.

Shirley Temple-Black has had a lot of success post childhood, acting as a U.S. Ambassador, winning a bunch of rewards, and serving on the boards of several big companies.

Macaulay Culkin, forget about money, he got to bang Mila Kunis. And speaking of which, Mila Kunis has been going nonstop since she was 14.

The guy who played Allen Strange is doing pretty good. He finally realized his dream of becoming a WWE Referee.

Ron Howard deserves a mention. That is exactly who I was thinking of.

Flubbed lines at the Super Bowl aside, Christina Aguilera has been very successful.

Wil Wheaton is doing good for himself.
Not to the scale as many of the people mentioned so far, but his blog has had a devoted following for years, and he's written three best-selling books.

Stacy Ferguson is really racking up a lot of money these days, especially in the last decade, so she's up there.
