#1, Ron Howard. Another one to consider is Bill Mumy. He was young Will Robinson on the 60's series "Lost in Space". He's gone on to be a successful actor (was a regular on "Babylon 5"), a writer of comics, and a musician (and responsible for one of the greatest music videos of all time...) One thing you didn't mention; he was co-creator of the Nickelodeon show Space Cases.

Drew Barrymore's doin' alright for herself. She is now. But she had a lot of rough years. Being an alcoholic at 11 isn't exactly awesome. LOL. Not exactly. I think Janet Jackson has been successful. It would probably be weird to think about her Super Bowl antics of a few years ago, while watching her as Penny.

Obviously not "unscathed", but he became an icon regardless.

Lot already been said. So I will mention Alyson Hannigan Acting since she was a kid. First major gig was at age 13 or 14 with: Funfact: Also starred Seth Green. Of course both of them would go to star in Buff The Vampire Slayer. Continues to have success with 'How I Met Your Mother' and just tonight I watched an episode of The Simpsons she guest starred in. ALSO: She is not really a child star. But acted as a child, Jane Krakowski (Jenna from '30 Rock') played Cousin Eddie's daughter Vicki in 'Vacation'.

And now that I think about it, Mario Lopez has kept a decent profile- or at least a more respectful one than Dustin Diamond's.

What did Kurt Russel ever do? You've got a point. Kurt Russell started really young too. I'm pretty sure his first role was in an Elvis movie when he was 10. Not a shabby start in the business if you asked me. I looked up Mickey Rooney and even though he has been working since 1924. He had quite the shady adulthood. Multiple divorces and addiction to drugs and alcohol. So I wouldn't say he's kept himself clean. So I retract my previous entry. But I still say Elisha Cuthbert is one of the best examples of this generation. you NEVER hear ANYTHING bad about her.

And now that I think about it, Mario Lopez has kept a decent profile- or at least a more respectful one than Dustin Diamond's. All of them were good aside from Dustin Diamond. Mark-Paul Gosselaar had NYPD Blue, Raising the Bar and did a few movies. Tiffany Amber-Theissen had Beverly Hills 90210, Fastlane and White Collar Mario Lopez had Extra and America's Best Dance Crew plus other tv shows. Lark Voorhies is a music producer Elizabeth Berkley has done a lot of guest roles and Broadway. All Dustin Diamond's done is porn, scam people out of money and be a legit douchebag. I'm also amazed none of us have mentioned Frankie Muniz. Apparently, his agent threw a ton of his money in investing into stocks, especially a company called Google. He pretty much races cars for a living now. Oh, and he bangs this:

I just thought of another one. Mike Myers I dunno, other than commercials, he didn't get any tv exposure till his early 20s over here in England before SNL.

I'd go with Ron and Clint Howard, but hey, nobody mentioned Christian Bale.
Hell, even Jackie Earle Haley is doing pretty good.

Fred Savage is doing ok for himself. I mean, he's not a huge star anymore, but its not like you hear about him robbing liquor stores (but now i have this image of him robbing a store in kevin arnold mode)

Fred Savage turned out alright. He's directed major motion pictures and starred in other sitcoms like Working. And he knows the secret to 50,000 points on Double Dragon.

Stacy Ferguson is really racking up a lot of money these days, especially in the last decade, so she's up there. Well, there's that whole Meth addiction thing...

I know it's about "most successful" adult child-star, but some mention should go to Alyssa Milano. She's at the very-least in the top five.

all 3 get regular work, fair enough ricci is probably the one who gets most work out of the three. Dushku does OK, I suppose. Having Joss Whedon as a fan helps. Applegate... you know, I REALLY hate to say this but I wonder if her marketability was hurt by her illnesses. It's easy to promote cheesecake stuff, but look how fast her show got canceled and rolls dried up after the mastectomy. . her show was canceled due to poor ratings. and not exactly directed at our demographic, but she did voices in the new alvin and the chipmunks movie, plus cats and dogs. she also just had a baby.
