I am starting to like the guy. I am glad that he has dumped the indy look and actually looks like a professional wrestler now. He also seems to be a lot more crisp in the ring as well. I can see WWE offering him a contract in the next year or so. What do you guys think?

I dunno. I think if a contract offer was gonna come, it would have come back in 2006, when he was really tearing the indy circuit up with awesome matches across the board. The dude's still great now, but his overall presence seems to have leveled off a bit from 2006/2007, where the dude was literally everywhere at once.

Maybe, but I think what held him back before was the indy look. It`s good to see him doing well in Japan. Maybe he`ll stay there if WWE shows no interest.

I appear to be the only living person that does not see the big deal about Chris Hero. He's a fine enough wrestler, sure. But there is just something so..meh about him. In any incarnation. Serious or goofy.
Claudio, I get it. Hero? Nope.

One of my top 3 favorites at the moment right now.
I'm convinced that he'll go to WWE someday, along with Claudio, and have the Kings of Wrestling on RAW. Of course, they'll break up in 3 months, but it's still a pretty interesting thought. His style of wrestling could easily translate in a WWE setting, especially the Hero's Welcome. WWE loves using that move as a finisher for other wrestlers. Then again, I'm also one of the few guys out there who doesn't mind him throwing 14 elbows in a match, as they all look brutal.

The main reason he is better in the ring now is because of how much he has improved physically. I've seen a few videos of his 2005-2006 persona and he looked like a skinny-fat guy who works out just enough to not die in the ring. Now he is in the best shape of his life, and is confident enough about his body to use trunks.

Hero got dedicated into improving his physical appearance and stepping up his in ring game. If he is not with WWE within the next 3 years, I will be shocked.

So, how is a professional wrestler supposed to look again?

So, how is a professional wrestler supposed to look again? Not like a backyard wrestler.

I'll miss the Superman logo Chris Hero attire, but he's in the best shape of his life right now.
He better go to WWE, and soon. That Young Knockout Kid deserves to be there.

Chris Hero may well be my favourite wrestler right now. That man has improved tremendously, and I love his elbow gimmick. And it suits him, given that he was there when Misawa died.

I think he's great. And definately one of the best in the world right now. But I think he's too much of a face to be a heel. Everytime I see him in ROH and it doesn't matter who he faces or what he says or what he does, he always gets cheered.

Chris Hero is definitely in the top three wrestlers these days. He is incredible. Kings of Wrestling are definitely my favorite tag team of all time. They just get it.
I also don't get the complaints about Hero throwing many elbows in a match. To me that is the same thing as Claudio throwing a million uppercuts in a match, yet I never really hear complaints about the uppercuts.
On one hand I would like to see Claudio make it to the WWE just because he deserves the recognition and pay day. On my selfish fan side though I don't want him in the WWE because they are not big on tag teams. If the Kings of Wrestling were a team in the E I don't think they would do much. Also I might not enjoy his WWE style work as much as his matches in Japan and indies.
He does deserve it though and I will mark for him where ever he goes.
I would still love to see him or Claudio wrestle Kurt Angle. Maybe Kings of Wrestling vs Angle and someone like Nigel. Those are my dream matches.

Japanese people die like they do in video games? All of their powers and skills bounce out in colorful shapes and Hero happened to grab the Elbow power-up when Misawa died?

Or the fact that before he died, Misawa gave Hero an emerald elbow pad as a sign of respect. Hero had been using the elbow gimmick for a little while already, and the tribute from and to Misawa just added to it.
