Remember during the first Diva Search when they had the divas "cut promos" on each other and apparently didn't inform them first about taste and/or discretion? Calling each other "cum guzzler" and accusing each other of "having a dick in her mouth" was so sleazy and out of place in wrestling and I feel terrible for any parents who brought their kids that night. i remember watching this with my brother and the both of us just being like ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) even if it was 14A, hearing a girl say another girl has a "gap so big you could drive a truck through it" and calling her a "cum guzzling gutter slut".... wow. just wow.

I mean, the absolutely shameless stuff: Trish calling Molly fat. Trish never said Molly was fat per se, just that she had a big and/or fat ass (which she did, regardless of how mean-sprited the angle was). Lawler and (much to my surprise) JR were the ones that took it too far with her going from having a big butt to being fat overall, which was where it really came off as horrible. When she won the title from Trish at KOTR, only for Lawler to make a reference to how it was "survival of the fattest", I wanted to jam his crown down his throat.

JR not being allowed to broadcast because of his Bell's palsy making him to unattractive for tv.

I'm sure Stephanie had the best intentions in the world, but it was still very clumsy to equate the two really. People had just watched several fellow countrymen die before their eyes, so to hear a priveleged girl talk about how their business was in jeopardy was never going to go down well. Oh certainly, it was not the most appropriate correlation that she could have found but I don't think it deserves the level of disgust that has been demonstrated in the years since. You must remember the context of what we as Americans went through that day. People were jumping out of that building, others were buried alive. It was a very ignorant statement and one which I am sure she and Vince regret.

When Kurt Angle was portrayed as a rapist with a fetish for "guttersluts" and wants to, and I quote, "have bestiality sex with Sharmell." I can just imagine him saying that in his 'And I'm not a fan of "the black people"' voice. If I recalled from his beastiality promo, I think he did spoke in that same voice.

A lot of people bring up Sharmell. But I also recall Kurt coming to RAW a few weeks later and saying(or at least heavily implying) that he wants to have sex with Hulk Hogans teenage daughter.

Let's not forget Droz pushing Hawk off of the Titantron (and them actually running a "Did he do it on purpose?" story for a couple weeks).

Vince v Steph No Mercy 03.
I'llbe fair to say that the stroy was well told, but the idea of a father wrestling his daughter because she wasn't as ruthless as him.
P.S. Taz and especially Cole help told the story.

However, when we do not directly experience something of that magnitude, we try to find an example of a trying experience that we have endured in an attempt to empathise with the victims/those who lost loved ones. That, in my mind, was all that Stephanie was attempting to do; empathise by equating it to a personal experience that her family managed to endure and overcome - something that every citizen could relate to at the time.

The McMahon vs God storyline offends me greatly and was not needed, they had a pretty hot feud with HBK vs Vince before that, so it was just a pointless offensive piece if garbage.

What about Billy and Chuck going on TV and accepting an award from GLAAD(?) for their "wedding" despite having already taped the episode where it's revealed that they aren't in fact gay or getting married. I think that actually aired the same day as they accepted the award.
It's definitely shady.

Honestly, that was my favourite thing that the 'E had on television at that time. Back in '06, right? That was the year of Cena domination and so I didn't care about the Championship scene, only DX, really. McMahon in the church was one of the funniest skits he has ever been a part of. The notion that McMahon would take on 'god' was hilarious.

Didn't Vince do HHH's water spit with the baptismal water?
That whole segment was awesome.

I highly doubt Stephanie believed that the steroid trial was directly equatable to Sept. 11th; again, it was a way to empathise with the entire country by drawing a parallel to a time in her life when her family felt that their world was crashing but that they managed to pull through with strength, courage and fortitude - this was, basically, the mantra of the country at the time.

If so, thanks for reminding me (and bringing back the nightmares).

Or Candice Michelle giving HHH oral sex under the picnic table while HBK was looking for the Iron Sheik, or somebody. Candice didn't give HHH oral sex under the picnic table. She and HHH BOTH recieved oral sex under the picnic table while HBK looked for Mr. Fuji.

I understand it, but it didn't sound appropriate coming from her. Nothing in her life was comparable to what those people who survived that day experienced. Yes, her family had to pull through probably the toughest time in their lives, but the magnitude is nowhere near the same as the time people had during 9/11, so she shouldn't even make that comment.
