I don't get why it's not cool for some people to quit watching wrestling because of a stupid plot twist. I mean, it's a TV show like anything else - would it be wrong if, say, I dropped watching Young Justice because it turns out the head of Cadmus is Batman? No, because it's just an indicator of terrible writing. Besides, I'm more going to stop because of the fact both rosters at the moment are terrible, and the characters of both champions were gathering dust four years ago yet nothing about them has particularly changed since. Moreso with Cena. If the people who say that they'll quit watching WWE actually follow through with their ultimatum, I'd understand. Fair enough. I'm personally setting three different conditions to win me back - Cena loses the WWE title, it hits April 2nd, or Cody wins the World title. Only the last one's a guarantee I'd rush back, though.

Its not like RAW will dramatically change if Cena loses the belt. I don't quite see the logic there. Belt or not, he's still a major focus. There's no difference from RAW now than there was 3 weeks ago or even 3 months ago really.
Is it just the principle?

Again... the end of Smackdown shows Christian depressed going back up the ramp whilst the crowd chant and cheer for him.
This is going somewhere. Stupid start to a storyline? Perhaps, we'll just have to wait & see.

Even if it leads to Christian becoming a top guy and winning the belt 20 more times, it doesnt change how utterly shitty I felt reading that he lost it two days after winning it. Christian's title win was the most emotionally invested ive been in wrestling in YEARS, and the sinking feeling I had when he lost it so quickly might have been one of the worst feelings ive ever had in regards to something wrestling-related (sans a death of some sort). What I mean is, you cant replicate special moments, and no matter what happens from here, I dont think theyll ever be able to strike the emotional chord that they did last Sunday when he won it for the first time, not with me at least.

As said, that one's not a guarantee of me coming back to watching it, more I'd need to see how things look afterward and if they are interesting enough I'll go back to watching Raw. It's more just I realize full well that Cena's title run if it has any length to it at all is going to consist of him bulldozing people for months.
