I hope that's not the final mask for Bane.

Count all the money you want, the point stands it wasnt universally loved nor did everyone change their mind on it. Ledger played what he was given well, but what he was given was no Joker I wanted to see The look was different from the comics but it fit with the movies and the spirit of the character was kept, the spirit from the more modern, darker take on Joker anyway. You see, I disagree. I dont think the spirit of the character was kept all that well at all. For all the stuff about him asking why people are serious and blowing up hospitals in drag, there was little mania to him; he was a thug with a gimmick rather than a manical arch fiend. But hey, everyone has different takes on different things.

Eh, so long as he isn't the gibbering doofus he was in B&R, I don't mind Nolan modifying his mask.

Has anyone seen shots of Ann Hathaway as Cat Woman or The other female lead. Its very odd to see Bane get leaked but not the other two. I don't really like spoilers too much but I like to see what the characters in Batman look like. I was very shocked with the way the Joker looked but was happy to see it play out well.

Technically Catwoman isn't confirmed, just Selina Kyle.

I'm liking the Bane look. Reminds me of a cross between Vader's mask and a gas mask, plus it should make it easier for him to emote.

Eh, so long as he isn't the gibbering doofus he was in B&R, I don't mind Nolan modifying his mask. But he also doesn't need to be just another hired hand/thug either. He needs to be established as a threat on his own and one that matches Batman in terms of skill, strength, and intelligence.

Don't know if anyone's interested, but this is my official report on extras casting. Showed up at 2:30. There was a line around a quarter of the building. As me and my buddy stood there, the line grew behind us. We have no idea how far exactly the line went. As we stood in line, some cute girls handed out free 5 Hour Energy drinks to whomever wanted them. My buddy accepted for the hell of it, I declined. Someone who works for the casting agency came outside, looked at the length of the line, and said "Holy s***!" Again, this is someone FROM THE CASTING AGENCY. You'd think they would've expected this. We showed our ID, we got handed paperwork to fill out. Name, phone number, clothing sizes, availability. Etc. Etc. Etc. Got handed a 4 page pamphlet, describing what they do and don't want from their extras. Apparently I'm supposed to register online with the casting agency, too. 4:00-ish we get into the hotel, take a winding path to a ballroom FILLED with seats. They seat us starting at the back and work towards the front (so the people that were in line the longest had to sit furthest back...needless to say, the feeling was "what the f***?"). The "holy s***" lady from earlier is apparently IN CHARGE of this whole operation. She gives a 30 minute speech, basically reiterating what the 4 page pamphlet said, but with added emphasis. She made a big deal about how important it is to refer to the movie by its working title, rather than the official title...this was odd, considering every news story I've seen/read about the casting blew the secret. Whatever, I'm not in charge. We line up to get our pictures taken, starting with the people in the back of the room, moving forward. So they're seating arrangement actually made sense, so they could clear the room out quicker and easier. Got my picture taken twice, handed in my paperwork, and was told to have a nice day. Walked out the door and saw the next GIGANTIC line of people waiting. I won't know if I'll be called to be an extra for some time. They begin calling people at the end of the month at the earliest, though they may not call until the day before they need somebody. And if they don't call at all... *shrug* at least I tried. Wow...I went to the Superman extra casting call and it only took at least 2 hours. All we did was wait in line, fill out a quick sheet and get our picture taken and that was it. Got there at around 2:30, was out by 5:15. 2 hours, 45 minutes. I assume you're asking me. I'd say there was at least 3 hundred people in the ballroom, and that was just the group I was in. This past sunday was the 4th day of them doing this, with groups coming in and out of said ballroom over the course of, I think, 8 hours per day. They said they were looking to cast around 3,000 extras for over the course of the shoot (about 3 weeks), and I saw on the news they had at least 2,000 people the first day.

No shots of Ann Hathaway. Only news I've read was that in other preparation to a scene or in the actual filming, she accidently punched a stunt man and I think broke his nose. Then a few days later did it again. Technically Catwoman isn't confirmed, just Selina Kyle. www.hollywoodlife.com/2011/06/27/anne-hathaway-catwoman-costume/According to the link, she'll be dressed as Catwoman, in a costume similar to the comics with goggles. Every supercostume is better with goggles. Whether she'll actually call herself Catwoman, who knows.

It's already been pulled, just saw Kevin Smith mention it on Facebook. If anyone is ambitious enough to see if it's made it to YouTube let us know, because I sure don't feel like wading through the crap and fan made trailers myself

Until it goes up, here's the basic summary of it, spoilered: {Spoiler}Some hype over journeys of heroes and stuff, with clips from the last two movies, then we see Gordon laying on a hospital bed, talking with someone who isn't seen, who is either Bruce or Bats: It has a quick shot of Bane's mask and other random shots I couldn't get a good look at, then the CGI crumbing buildings revealing the Batman logo, with the logo being a white background and black text reading The Dark Knight Rises and then some chanting, as it's shown Batman fighting in a circle surrounded by people, Fight Club style.

The "Every journey has an end" and "The epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend" has me extremely worried that they're going to kill Bruce Wayne or make him retire Batman for good. Either outcome sucks.
