They're just trying to make it epic sounding. I dont believe that DC would ever allow either of those, considering that they want people to ultimately come over to the comics after watching the films.
Could be wrong, but dont think so as yet.

The "Every journey has an end" and "The epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend" has me extremely worried that they're going to kill Bruce Wayne or make him retire Batman for good. Either outcome sucks. KNIGHTFALL? Bane breaks the Bat, hence the crumbling Gotham in the poster? Could be a good way to end Nolan's run, yet leave space for someone else to come in and put their spin on it. *shrug*

Having watched it I'm feeling my inital ideas are being fulfilled.
I'm imagining Bane as an Al Ghul loyal/trained anti-Batman. Someone intelligent, driven, physically dominant. However the difference could well be, that he's being used as a weapon. Whereas Batman used his trauma to fulfill a higher cause, Bane is using his trauma to focus his potential on a single, small goal and thus being used as a weapon by the Al Ghul's.
They won't use the breaking of the Bat, but I wouldn't be suprised to see a mid-point battle between Batman and Bane where Bane DESTROYS Batman. This results in Batman having to recover having his faith restored by Catwoman a thief/(prostitute?)/nobody who has been inspired by Batman's efforts. So Catwoman acts as a pseudo Robin in the back up role as Batman reveals himself on a huge public scale to defeat Bane and destroy the Al Ghul efforts to destroy Gotham. This reveals himself as the public hero and his continued battles to save Gotham gives the city its impetuous to rebuild....
But thats just my guess from how the last two films went and this trailer.

Looks like The Tumbler is back.
It's been seen being delivered to the set of the film.

All that every journey ending stuff has me having Matrix Revolutions flashbacks.
But I love these teaser trailers.

The "Every journey has an end" and "The epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend" has me extremely worried that they're going to kill Bruce Wayne or make him retire Batman for good. Either outcome sucks. Considering they were talking about rebooting it or doing a sequel that would allow Batman to appear in the Justice League film it's highly unlikely. Batman is WB's big cash draw. They're not going to simply put him away for good as long as there's money to be made.

is there any confirmation if Christian Bale will be using his ridiculously f***ing annoying "Batman Voice" ??
the one that starts off not so bad but by the end makes me want to rip my hair out and never watch the movie again except that Heath Ledger makes it repeat viewable......

I'm sure they will tone it back after the universally bad feedback about it.

They're just letting people know this is the end of this series, and that it's gonna wrap up everything from Begins and Dark Knight.

Unfortunately this is Nolan's last Batman film. It's a shame because I would've loved to have seen him bring The Riddler to life.

Unfortunately this is Nolan's last Batman film. It's a shame because I would've loved to have seen him bring The Riddler to life. Never say never. Directors are artists, and if Nolan ends up having an epiphany and realizing he has another good Batman story he wants to tell, WB would let him in a heartbeat.

Ever since seeing the trailer I've been even more amped up towards this film.
I've been watching everything Batman lately. From the 90's animation, to the 1940's film serials.
I can't wait for this film to come out, nothing will stop me seeing a midnight screening.

Just found out in the paper today, part of the filming of DARK KNIGHT RISES involves a football game. The Gotham Rogues will be playing at Heinz Field this August. ;D

Any theories on the chanting at the end of the trailer? I've read that theories that it could be escaped Arkham inmates.
