I approve of both choices. And if anybody needs a clue about Tom Hardy, just watch Inception. ;D

I don't mind the castings, as I'm sure they'll do a good job. Can't say I'm super psyched about Bane and Catwoman though, as I've always considered them among the lesser-interesting characters in the Batman universe, so I'm interested to see what exactly Nolan is planning with these two.

I'm surprised Nolan went with Bane for the film, espicially considering how he's looking to make everything as realistic as possible. To me, Bane never seemed like a fit for Nolan's view of Batman, but, knowing what a great director he is, I have a lot of faith in his choices.

as long as Bane isn't a complete jobber like in Batman and Robin I'll have no problem Don't worry. Tom Hardy's playing him, and he had a pretty big role in "Inception." So, already this Bane is an improvement over "Batman And Robin's" Bane.

Has Hugo Strange been confirmed for the film? A bit off-topic, but I'm holding out some hope that Nolan and Bale decide not to end the series after this coming movie. Even more off topic, but the recent casting news has me thinking a lot about Nolan's upcoming Superman reboot. It's more his brother's project, but he's attached, as well. I know there is zero chance of this happening, but I'd love to see a Bale cameo in the film, or even a small reference to either Metropolis or the Daily Planet in Batman 3.

I thought Nolan said he was never going to do Catwoman or Penguin? I thought it was Mr. Freeze and Penguin. I like Tom Hardy and I like this.

Maybe it's just me, but I was never really into Catwoman as a character. She just didn't appeal to me as a fan and given her motives I don't think it fits with Nolans universe.
As for Bane? I'm all for it. After the abomination of his depiction in Batman and Robin I say go for it. Here's hoping we see an epic brutal confrontation between him and Batman.

You guys know Anne Hatthaway was supposed to be the Vulture's daughter AKA 'the Vultress' in the aborted 4th Raimi Spiderman movie, right?
Her in another comic movie so quickly somewhat scares me.

Hmmmm, as long as this doesn't prompt DC to try and move Bane out of the S6.
I'd be suprised to see venom. Bane has actually been off the stuff in the comics for a while, so it's not like he needs it for the character to work.
Catwoman will be very interesting to see in Nolan's batverse.
still holidng out that the second female lead will be Talia.

The only thing I think I've seen Hardy in is Star Trek: Nemesis, where he tried to convince us he was a clone of Patrick Stewart by shaving his head. Yeah, I'm not sure what to expect here.

Just Google Tom Hardy in Bronson and I think all doubt would be removed.

Okay, despite my dislike of The Dark Knight, I feel like this movie can win me back. I'm really excited to see Bane, because I know Christopher Nolan will make him the cold, calculating, intelligent Bane and not some idiotic grunt. Really looking forward to that.

Anne Hathaway as catwoman not a bad choice at all. I like this Hugo Strange story. Thing is I hope it isn't too dialog heavy.

I'll let Christopher Nolan try to win me over with this third film because while I do agree in letting Nolan have full control over his Batman universe, I have seen people dissapoint with third films in the past..........espescially after a great sequel. Nolan definately has a hard film to follow.

I have faith in Nolan. Besides, he can't do worse by Bane than the LAST movie.

I have no problem with Anne Hathaway as Selena Kyle/Catwoman. Don't know much of Tom Hardy's work, other than his work in Inception.
I have faith in Nolan and his ability to make the absolute best of in the realm of Batman he's working in. Heck, I was one of those people who thought Heath Ledger as the Joker was...well, a JOKE! And I loved Ledger as The Joker. I have the outmost faith in Nolan's handling of Batman and his villians. And I look forward to seeign Hugo Strange as a villain on the big screen. Don't really know much about him.

Most sites have shifted from thinking he was going to be the main villain to a story where someone got the plot and main villain in Arkham City, the game, and this film all mixed up

I like Hathaway as Catwoman, that casting actually works for me. She's classy enough to pull of Selina Kyle and sexy enough to pull off Catwoman. Casting a British white guy as the Caribbean based Bane, though, I'm not sure.

Seeing Hardy in Bronson gives me no doubt that he has the potential to make a great Bane no matter what incarnation of his Nolan chooses to use.
Catwoman has not been mentioned in any press releases, just the character of Selena Kyle. She may very well never don the costume in the film, although I would presume some hints and foreshadowing would certainly take place.

If you haven't seen Tom Hardy in Inception or Bronson...go do that. Now.
