More leaked 'details' reveal the plot heavily features Talia and the League of the Shadows, with Bane as her bodyguard and JGL as another League member (Put a chin beard on him and he could pass for a young Merlyn), with Catwoman playing the side kick to Batman.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has officially been confirmed as being cast for this movie. Still no word on who he will be playing.

There is word that there will be a character who will be a 'Street Smart Gotham Girl' it's being reported that 20 year old indie actress Juno Temple is about to sign on to the role.

No word on Marion Cotillard at this point.

Bleck, I never cared for the League of Shadows or Talia. There not terrible but there stories in Batman TAS were always kind of boring. Also very boring in the first Batman movie

OK it has been revealed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone who is the son of Carmine Falcone (played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins, the mob boss driven insane by The Scarecrow).

Makes sense, more so when you consider that Nolan loves his repeat casting and will probably fancy having Cillian Murphy back as Scarecrow, which makes sense seen as Alberto is used by Scarecrow at one point in the comics.

If I had to guess the story is Alberto wants Batman, Catwoman and possible Jonathan Crane (for what he did to his father) dead. So he recruits Bane to do so.

Yes I think Scarecrow could return but he will probably taken out by Bane pretty quickly to show what Bane is capable of.

Again that's my guess.

In the comic I meant, Scarecrow uses his gas to make Alberto see his father's ghost, who then blames Batman for everything, making Alberto obsessed with taking down Batman. They could do it that way, with Alberto then hiring the League and Talia/Bane to help him.

The guy is way too old.

Here's the thing about Robin - he has to be a kid, otherwise you lose the power in the narrative. Here you have a boy whose parents were murdered in front of him when he was not much older than Bruce Wayne was as a boy. Bruce takes him in, feeling an immediate kinship. He then, against better advisement from Alfred, lets the kid train to be a crimefighter. Bruce feels that by enabling Dick Grayson, he's giving him the power to fight back. A power that Bruce didn't get until adulthood. It's almost a vicarious living situation. If Bruce befriends an adult Dick Grayson, you lose so very much of what makes the characters and their relationship fantastic for storytelling.

Looks like Warner Bros. is not-so-quietly putting it out there that they're once again looking to piece together a live-action 'Justice League' movie (possibly by 2013), and that scripts are not only in the works for that, but also for 'The Flash' and 'Wonder Woman,' despite the latter preparing to launch a new TV show. We'll be talking more about 'Justice League' in a little bit, but we wanted to drop some other big news to come out of this Hero Complex story on Jeff Robinov's plans for the future of DC superhero films at Warner Bros: Mainly, that they may look to reboot the Batman character following Christopher Nolan's 2012 trilogy-concluding 'The Dark Knight Rises.'

But even though Nolan will be leaving the franchise as its director, good news for fans out there is that he'll remain on as a producer with his partner (and wife) Emma Thomas. Robinov freely admitted that they'll need to "reinvent" Batman after this third film, adding, "Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is."

It's great that Nolan will be involved in whatever that next Batman phase is, though fans probably don't want another straight reboot/origin story. We assume that this new, re-invented Batman will fit into their 'Justice League' universe -- and we assume they'll want Nolan to help out with that as well -- but what do you think the best plan of action will be for Batman going forward?
