Well it got somewhat easier to beat OU as their leading tackler the last few years will miss two months due to an injury.

I just want us (Michigan) to be respectable again. I don't expect it to come fast but, just to be in a few games, to keep things close, would be nice after the last few years. That said, come Nov. if we don't kick the s*** out of OSU, I'll be pissed. Shouldn't take too long, especially if Hoke and co can keep recruiting like they have been (number 1 class according to Scout number 3 according to Rivals). On a side note, I was never a huge Rich Rod hater, but the more I read about how he and his crew ran the program makes me hate him more. I'll give you an example. Greg Mattison and the defensive staff went to break film with the defensive players, and they had no idea how to study film. Multiple coaches have also said that the team had no idea how to perform basic positional moves. I've seen interviews with Mike Martin and Ryan Van Bergan (both pretty good NFL prospects) and they both have said Hoke, Mattison, and Montgomery (DL coach) have taught them things they never learned in the past 3 years and the coaches were stunned to hear that. An unnamed DB has also said that Curt Mallory (DB coach and Michigan alum) has taught them more in a few months than Gibson taught in 3 years.

Hey, today a BUNCH of speculation has occurred about A&M going to the SEC again. Anyone else up with this? A guy out of Dallas says yes and it will be announced in 2-3 weeks a dude from the ticket in SA says it's not gonna happen. What I've been hearing was that A&M, along with Oklahoma may be coming to the SEC. Which I welcome with open arms. I've also heard rumblings of the SEC picking up Florida State and Georgia Tech to balance out the East and West if this happens.

I gotta ask... will this be the end of Boise State as we know it? One of the few bright spots of ESPN.com is the "Bottom 10", and I'm looking forward to seeing who is selected. San Jose State really is going to suck badly this year, I can assure you.

As much as I don't like KU, their basketball program will cause the Big East to pick them up, and probably K State. Missouri will probably wind up in the Big Ten, along with maybe Iowa State (only because of Iowa). The ones that will be hurt are Texas Tech, and Baylor (their basketball programs should cause a big conference to go after them).

A&M's rivals.com site is reporting the deal is done and A&M will be SEC bound.

And then there were nine. Assuming that it's true, of course.

Listening to one of the sports talk radio shows here tonight, the rumor now is A&M won't come alone, and one of these two scenarios will follow:
1) Oklahoma/Oklahoma State join T&M along with a mystery team yet to be determined. 2) Missouri follows A&M, Florida State is recruited to the SEC, and a third team yet to be determined.

Also another rumor out there that the SEC could add Florida State as the 14th Team

Will the SEC be willing to take Baylor? It would add another SWC team, and a school with 2 strong basketball programs. The Longhorns go independent now. If OU and Okie State join the SEC, the Pac has got to be pissed. Last year they almost had Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M/Tech, instead they get Colorado.

I don't think they would take Baylor, but anything is possible at this point.
This was the speculated wish list going by this show tonight:
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and much lesser so, NC State.
Not that they would get them all, but if they expanded to 16 it would be from that grouping. That's only as of now though.

Honestly it would make more sense for OU/Ok State to go to the SEC than the Pac-12, as they are closer to the SEC schools.

A&M's rivals.com site is reporting the deal is done and A&M will be SEC bound. Word is that the deal will be officially announced on August 22. Rumor is that the Big 12 is looking at teams like Houston, BYU, Air Force, and Louisville as possible members.

Matt_HayesSN Update: Beginning to look more like a 14th team -- if A&M deal is completed; a big IF -- could be Virginia Tech or Missouri unless OU joins.
