Can't say I'm particularly interested in going, but it's nice that the new stadium is going to have so much attention that year, considering that WM will follow the Super Bowl there.
IZOD Center is trash, though, Prudential Center is an infinitely better venue for the other stuff...but I understand them wanting to keep all the festivities in a small, central area, so the Meadowlands it is.

I know it'll be very unlikely, but it would be awesome if it snowed. Since they're going there, I'm hoping this happens as well. Just to see how the hell they're going to deal with it.

WWE confirms: www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/28/wrestlemania-29-metlife-stadiumEast Rutherford, N.J.’s MetLife Stadium has played host to the NFL Playoffs, two NCAA college tournaments, five international team soccer games, and historic concerts from the likes of U2, The Eagles and Bon Jovi. And now, it’s getting its first WrestleMania. For the first time, The Show of Shows is headed to New Jersey, as MetLife Stadium, home to the Super Bowl XLVI Champion New York Giants, as well as the New York Jets, will host WrestleMania XXIX on Sunday, April 7, 2013. The traditional WrestleMania Week activities, including WrestleMania Axxess, the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and Monday Night Raw will take place across the New York/New Jersey area in the days leading up to the show. An official press conference will be held tomorrow, February 16, at 11:00AM at MetLife Stadium, where WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon will be joined by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, New York Giants President & CEO John Mara, New York Jets Owner & CEO Woody Johnson, and a host of WWE Superstars, including John Cena, Triple H and Sheamus to officially announce the event. There will also be a special appearance by John Cena’s WrestleMania XXVIII opponent, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The press conference is not open to the public, but WWE.com will be posting video and photo updates about the event throughout the day. I found the title of that article to be very interesting: "WrestleMania Comes Home to NY/NJ in 2013!" Now maybe I'm reading too much into it, but could this be an indication that 'Mania Triple-X won't be at MSG? I mean, it wouldn't make sense to "come home" two years in a row, would it? But really, there's no sense in thinking that far ahead. Hell, we're still weeks away from this year's show! Oh by the way, WWE? WrestleMania. Pittsburgh. Make it happen.

They won't turn down the huge gate of a stadium for the sake of tradition. Besides, MSG has lost some of its charm with the renovation (such as the removal of the little side entrance everyone liked). Smart move to keep the shareholders happy, especially with the uncertainty of the upcoming Network.

I've got a feeling that they will have a new logo soon. That seems like it was designed for the original plan of spreading the activities between NYC and ERNJ and they only recently came to an agreement to hold everything in NJ.

Here's what I continually don't get about this decision - as far as I know MetLife Stadium isn't covered at all, and it's still cold in this area at the end of March/beginning of April. How does this not result in bare-chested guys in trunks not getting hypothermia again? By then, they will have implemented their "all wrestler must wear warm sweaters" policy. Also, the winners of the match receives a cup of warm coco or a bowl of chicken soup.

Something that just came to me that I found chuckle worthy, the same week TNA brags about getting a member of the NY Giants on Impact, WWE announces they are going to be holding a show in the home of the Giants.

Yet another Wrestlemania that won't come to the Bay Area. Maybe once the 49ers get their stadium in Santa Clara done, we'll be in a better position. And if the A's new stadium in San Jose turns out to be more than just a pipe dream, I could see them maybe doing it.
