Good for them.
Although this almost certainly means that Madison Square Garden ain't getting WM30.

Good for them. Although this almost certainly means that Madison Square Garden ain't getting WM30. Why do you say that? How close is MSG? They did WM 24 in Orlando, 27 in Atlanta, and 28 in Miami. Granted, Miami is a long drive from Atlanta, it's only one state over.

Well, there were years separating the first two and then as you said, Miami is a long drive from Atl, unlike the 30mins-1hr drive from East Rutherford to NYC.

I'm stoked. I regrettably passed up the chance to go to WM 20, and of course Mania hasn't been in the northeast since. I have no personal attachments to MSG, and I am totally pleased that Mania 29 will be at Giants Stadium.

I'm sure as shit gonna a try to make this one, but I am pretty disapointed about what looks to be no Mania 30 at MSG. I'm a sucker for tradition, and MSG is home

Just googled it. That looks like a very nice stadium. It has a capacity of 82,000 as well which will be more for a wrestling event so it might hit pretty close to the WM III attendance.

Here's what I continually don't get about this decision - as far as I know MetLife Stadium isn't covered at all, and it's still cold in this area at the end of March/beginning of April. How does this not result in bare-chested guys in trunks not getting hypothermia again?

I think they'll promote it as being in New York. (No offense, East Rutherford...)

What if it ends up NOT being a press conference announcing WrestleMania?

How does this not result in bare-chested guys in trunks not getting hypothermia again? I know this is really hard for a lot of people to digest, but it's very possible that Mania is held later in the month to accommodate the weather. They'll probably also have heaters around the ringside area, and the lighting on the ring will provide a considerable amount of heat.

They'll probably have 10-15k roped off for the set and cameras. How does this not result in bare-chested guys in trunks not getting hypothermia again? Yeah, that'll be the interesting thing. Going by what I can find, they'll be lucky if its in the 40s and cloudy by show time.

The first WrestleMania to feature frosty nipples.
That should be a band. Frosty Nipples.

WrestleMania has never been later than April 7th. They can have it anytime in April they want, as Easter Sunday is on March 31st next year. April 14th may be OK.

Heck, they can even have it on the 21st or the 28th. The only potential disaster for weather would be rain, and that is the story every time they have Mania outdoors.
