As to the poll, Rock wins. Even with a line as stupid as kung pao bitch, Cena still comes off like an asshat.

And I won't take anything away from the Rock- he had the crowd in the palm of his hand tonight. But man, did I ever disagree with that crowd.

Rock is picking up his figurative teeth up off the mat following that KO.

DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU! They're having the Rock be awful and fake just to get everybody on Cena's side. If Rock REALLY wanted to, he could've destroyed Cena. Why else would he have "notes" on what to say? Rock could go off the top of his head every night and sell matches perfectly. He had to remember the talking points that they gave him. They made the Rock become a caricature of himself. They're trying to make the Rock seem as fake as possible to get fans that were on his side to switch to Cena's side and IT'S WORKING! Cena won the round because they made Rock take a dive. Stay strong, Team Bring It. We can't let their mind games take hold! WE WON'T LISTEN! #Cotton2Ears Come on. You cannot be serious. (You might not be I can't tell). You really think Rock would come back and suck on purpose so more fans like John Cena? I don't see it...they're not having him be a caricature, he IS a caricature of himself.

I honestly feel like Cena is coming off as whiny in this feud, and I hate him more with every promo he cuts. Then again I liked Rock's promo so maybe I just have a bizarre opinion on this.

Rock started out well by killing off that stupid argument about him not being there every week, and if Cena ever mentions that again, I'll never take his side in this feud.
The problem is that he had nothing to say afterwards, except namedrop Randy Savage and then create more catchphrase/5-minute trending topics.

Rock made a great, solid argument to start with. Cena does sound a bit arrogant trying to speak on the behalf of the entire WWe locker room. But then he couldn't help himself. I'm sorry, "kung pow bitch" is no Poontang Pie. Thats all he's done since coming back. Lame insult after lame insult And really, for as much as I love the guy.. even in his prime that's pretty much what he did. It's never been really Rock's verbiage or clever turn of phrase that's carried him, it's always been his unmatched presence. But yeah, for as fun as seeing people chant with him and stuff is/was.. it really, really felt like a nostalgia act tonight.

I can't believe I didn't see it before tonight. The WWE is having Rock tank the feud to make Cena look that much more awesome. No way in f***ing hell Rock has "notes" on his wrist that Cena comes out to point out. That s*** didn't happen by accident. They had it planned to make the Rock look weak.
The Rock is truly putting Cena over to the highest degree.

Still dont see how Cena owned the Rock. The Rock had the crowd chanting Missing balls for f***s sake. And How did Rock NOT Address what Cena said last week? Did anybody miss the middle part of the damn promo? Rock just tore Cenas asshole apart. Cant wait till WM When the crowd is completely shitting on Cena like we have never seen before. Also couldnt stop laughing at the Cena kiddies sitting there with blank faces after having there fav Wrestler ripped the f*** apart XD

I'll go ahead and say the exact same thing I said in the other thread just now.
Vince is going as low as having Cena screw up Rock's promo to have more people on Cena's side so they'll be more even? Especially with Cena calling Rock out on the wrist thing.
Are you serious?
This has turned the feud sour for me. I think I don't want to watch the damn match anymore after that crap. Damn. I really wanted some straight feuds, none of that underlying crap Cena pulled tonight. They let Cena stomp over Rock last week and now Cena stomps all over Rock this week in the middle of his promo. They wouldn't even let the guy get a promo after being away for so long, he gets interrupted.
I'm officially pissed and turned off from this feud. Thank you WWE.

Pasted from the Raw thread:
It wouldn't have been as bad if Rock hadn't let Cena walk all the way to the back before saying "Yeah, that's right! Run away before I slap your lips off!" It seemed so childish.
My God, if not for the crowd propping him up, that would have amounted to a full-on burial.

I liked that exchange on both sides, actually. Rock got the crowd into it like he's always done and brought up most of what people complain about with Cena. He finally went on and responded to the Cena argument on air.
Then Cena finally moved on from the tired "I'm here and you're not, nana-nanana" garbage and legitimately looked like he wounded Rock. Cena's always had the ability to cut a really good promo, and he finally did one for me with just the right mix between talking trash and pushing the match.

It still sucks to see him have so much potential killer points against Cena that he won't bring up.

I think they might have compromised Rocks promo, notice he rarely went into Third person as he usually does. He was about to go on a tangent about Cena being shoved down our throats before the crowd started with the twitter chants. In my opinion, Thats more then enough ammunition to kill cena.
But i will say, Cena brought his A-Game tonight. And i noticed that The Rock stumbled in the end.

Rock's one of my favorites, and I think in any other feud I'd solidly be behind Team Bring It, but I've built up too much empathy for Cena these past couple years.

And I won't take anything away from the Rock- he had the crowd in the palm of his hand tonight. But man, did I ever disagree with that crowd. I was live at Raw back in November 2011 when The Rock returned to Boston. I know what that live crowd was going through. I got swept up in the nostalgia and excitement of seeing The Rock live for the first time in well over a decade. Hell, I even chanted "Cena's ladyparts!", "Boots to asses!" and "Fruity pebbles!" It wasn't until the next day when I rewatched Raw on my DVR that it hit me that what The Rock delivered was a god-awful promo filled with nothing but lame Twitter jokes and schtick that would make the WWE brand of comedy seem hysterical by comparison. The Rock can hold a live audience in the palm of his hands like few others. However, the crowd he's appearing in front of next Monday night has been there and done that with the Twitter-filled ramblings. If he shows up live in Boston next Monday night with "Kung Pao Bitch" and "Missing balls" as his best punch lines, the crowd is going to start to turn on him.

How on earth can anyone defend The Rock at this point? I find it hilarious how older fans hate Cena for appealing to the "kiddies" yet go crazy after lame crap like FRUITY PEBBLES and KUNG POW CHICKEN.
Ridiculous.
