That was as much of a shoot as when Kane and Undertaker threw lightning bolts at each other. Sure Cena "schooled" The Rock, because that was exactly what they were both working for. I didn't know everyone was so nostalgic for 2005 Super Cena.

lol I loved it. The Rock while not doing a super serious promo made his points early, had fun, built up more heat with Cena. I thought it was funny and well fun. Looked like he was having a great time, the fan were having a great time and I was enjoying it a bunch. Honestly I wasn't coming into this with him countering everything Cena said because hell he has already tbh. His youtube video said everything that needed to be said and I was sold. My own opinion of course but Cena just comes off as bitter and whiney in every promo he does against the Rock and I'll take the Rock spouting Kung Pow Bitch over douche bag sounding promos from Cena.

I was watching this segment with a friend of mine, who HATES John Cena with a passion and has, at one point, referred to The Rock as the most awesome wrestler ever. I'm as big a Rock fan as anyone else, ever since I was a kid, and try to defend him all the time. We were both in unanimous agreement: Rock was awful, and he got beat like we've never seen him before. I don't see how anyone can really deny that Cena crushed him here. I mean, Rock had the fans on his side and everything, and he blew it. That was the most embarrassing thing I've seen in a long while, and one of the worst Rock promos I've ever heard. Hell, one of the worst promos I've heard in a long time. Was waiting the whole time, hoping the thing would pick up, but ouch... just, ouch.
Now I'm beginning to wish Rock hadn't come back. If that's what he's going to come up with, I'd rather just watch videos of him back in the Attitude Era.

Count me in as one of those who thinks they're having Rock go easy to protect Cena. Pretty much.

Well since the fans booed the hell out of Cena, Rock won again.

If you can get people to chant something as dumb as Kung Pao Bitch, missing balls and get both KungPow and CenasMissingBalls to blow up on twitter you won the battle end of discussion. The Rock is on a whole different planet when it comes to being over with the crowd and all the guys who whine in the back should be glad he's not there every week exposing them and their lack of star power.

I dont want to seem like the Superior fan, but the crowd really took up a majority of the time. The Rock started to talk about Cena being shoved down our throats. He could've went far from there, he could have compared who he put over. He could've talked about other superstars who left the WWE for petty reasons. He could've talked about his contract running out, and how he wasn't signed a lucrative deal. Similar to CM Punk in the summer.

Cena won this round, um, I guess...however, he ultimately won't be able to make the huge majority of the crowd go against The Rock. No matter what he says, most of the crowd is still Team Rock.
I just don't think he's a sellout in the face of the fans. The majority of fans just don't sympathise with Cena and "the boys". I know I don't. All that matters is they're happy the Rock is back. It ain't about politics for most of them...

I can't believe that so many people are actually clinging to the theory that Rock is going easy on Cena.
I mean COME ON.

I don't think I've even SEEN him get owned like that in a promo before. That should be the biggest red flag in the history of red flags. That don't happen to the Rock.

Rock's insults are getting lamer each time...40 year old man calling another man a Kung Pow bitch? really? Compared to Cena's PG insults? Hmm. At least both are able to say bitch.

That was honestly about as serious and heartfelt as a Rock promo gets.

I also personally don't give a crap about Cena's line of reasoning about The Rock not destroying himself every night and leaving people like he owes anyone anything after all he did or whatever demented 2007 messageboard argument he's putting forward. Wrestling wise, i'd rather see The Rock every blue moon than have Cena bore the crap out of me every week. As predicted, terrible promo this week aside, i'm with Rocky.

Honestly, Rock's whole promo came off a bit awkward. In 20 minutes, he spent maybe 5 of them making valid points and 15 just kind of rambling on aimlessly. If the guy didn't have the power over people that he does, that promo would've tanked, and hard. Cena's section was better, but felt rushed. And before tonight, I had NEVER before heard The Rock trip over his lines in a promo. Wow.
If you ask me, the Jericho/Punk promo that started the show was LEAGUES ahead of Rock and Cena's.

I'll go ahead and say the exact same thing I said in the other thread just now. Vince is going as low as having Cena screw up Rock's promo to have more people on Cena's side so they'll be more even? Especially with Cena calling Rock out on the wrist thing. Are you serious? This has turned the feud sour for me. I think I don't want to watch the damn match anymore after that crap. Damn. I really wanted some straight feuds, none of that underlying crap Cena pulled tonight. They let Cena stomp over Rock last week and now Cena stomps all over Rock this week in the middle of his promo. They wouldn't even let the guy get a promo after being away for so long, he gets interrupted. I'm officially pissed and turned off from this feud. Thank you WWE. They gave him about 25 minutes of overrun, and he still managed to spend most of it saying nothing. IF he'd have gone on for the full half hour with no interruption, Cena's promo from last week would still stomp all over this retroactively. Problem is that Cena's argument was so shallow up to that point that you can respond to it in 10 minutes, which he did. He responded to the same argument he'd been making for months, and he responded to Cena's claims that he was doing it for the people out back. The problem is, after that, there's really not really much else to do bur get the crowd chanting, so he did. They timed it perfectly so that right in the midst of it, Cena would come out and actually say something new for the first time this year. Cena brought it though. We know he can cut a good promo, and for the first time, he actually went beyond the "I'm here, you're not!" garbage that made me unable to side with him in this feud. That's exactly where it needed to go for me, he did great aside from that strudel line.

The Rock Apologists are in full force!
Isn't it possible that Rock just doesn't have his promo magic like he used to? He can capture the crowd, no doubt, but in an intelligent battle of words, he doesn't have all that much to say. He's pandering to the older Attitude Era crowd, by calling Cena a "bitch" all the time (we see this in TNA a lot too). Its like he's regressed to the point where its only a good promo if the fans chant a bunch of stupid phrases that they normally wouldn't.
Rock wouldn't come back and suck on purpose to make John Cena look good. He's doing what he thinks is right, by showing off how much the fans love him compared to Cena. In the end though, fans want a little more today than catchphrases, we want substance too. Both guys have had the same point for over a year, but Cena keeps coming out and killing it while pretty much stands in the ring and asks people to chant things.

Rock made a great, solid argument to start with. Cena does sound a bit arrogant trying to speak on the behalf of the entire WWe locker room. But then he couldn't help himself. I'm sorry, "kung pow bitch" is no Poontang Pie. who says they don't though? Zack Ryder didn't mind Cena represent him once upon a time the top faces celebrated each other and helped each other out. Rocky Johnson poured champaign on Hogan when he won his first title
