How on earth can anyone defend The Rock at this point? I find it hilarious how older fans hate Cena for appealing to the "kiddies" yet go crazy after lame crap like FRUITY PEBBLES and KUNG POW CHICKEN. Ridiculous. Some people just have a Pavlovian reaction of hatred to the guy.

I can't believe I didn't see it before tonight. The WWE is having Rock tank the feud to make Cena look that much more awesome. No way in f***ing hell Rock has "notes" on his wrist that Cena comes out to point out. That s*** didn't happen by accident. They had it planned to make the Rock look weak. The Rock is truly putting Cena over to the highest degree. Rock vs Cena is like Hogan vs HBK in 2005..."cash in the pockets" vs "nearly killing himself every night"

Count me in as one of those who thinks they're having Rock go easy to protect Cena.

I still agree with all of Rock's points in this feud and STILL think Cena comes off more often than not like a whiny little butt hurt ass, but he KO'd Rock after his promo tonight. As soon as Cena left Rock actually seemed flustered like he had no idea what to do. He just kept repeating his name and the same lines over and over. Did Cena throw him that badly?

Can't deny to myself that Cena has owned this the past two weeks. Part of me wonders why The Rock went out there and flapped around like a jackass for that long, because the entire thing pre and post Cena was horrible. I'll be interested in seeing how this progresses towards Wrestlemania, despite thinking it was awful. As I said in the thread, it was one lousy promo. They have a month to get it working, so writing the entire thing off seems insane.

The notes on the wrist had to be a work. The Rock is very quick on his feet and plays off crowd reactions so I doubt he would need notes to remember trending topics on Twitter. It just felt....weird. The Rock wasn't on his game, purposely or not, and if he isn't on his game, the match hype is going to be hurt badly.

DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU! They're having the Rock be awful and fake just to get everybody on Cena's side. If Rock REALLY wanted to, he could've destroyed Cena. Why else would he have "notes" on what to say? Rock could go off the top of his head every night and sell matches perfectly. He had to remember the talking points that they gave him. They made the Rock become a caricature of himself. They're trying to make the Rock seem as fake as possible to get fans that were on his side to switch to Cena's side and IT'S WORKING! Cena won the round because they made Rock take a dive. Stay strong, Team Bring It. We can't let their mind games take hold! WE WON'T LISTEN! #Cotton2Ears I'm with you brotha. Lets remember most of these CeNation folks hated him not long ago. at least we are consistant.

I'll go ahead and say the exact same thing I said in the other thread just now. Vince is going as low as having Cena screw up Rock's promo to have more people on Cena's side so they'll be more even? Especially with Cena calling Rock out on the wrist thing. Are you serious? This has turned the feud sour for me. I think I don't want to watch the damn match anymore after that crap. Damn. I really wanted some straight feuds, none of that underlying crap Cena pulled tonight. They let Cena stomp over Rock last week and now Cena stomps all over Rock this week in the middle of his promo. They wouldn't even let the guy get a promo after being away for so long, he gets interrupted. I'm officially pissed and turned off from this feud. Thank you WWE. They gave him about 25 minutes of overrun, and he still managed to spend most of it saying nothing. IF he'd have gone on for the full half hour with no interruption, Cena's promo from last week would still stomp all over this retroactively.

No way in hell THE ROCK gets thrown off. They are making him look bad to make Cena the favorite, and the Rock is in on it. The Rock could've EASILY put the final nail in Cena's coffin tonight, but instead, he took a few out.

I like Rock, but he needs to stop calling people bitches. Or Kung Pow Bitches, which is just confusing to me. I will say that his line about Cena's innovation going from jeans to camo was hilarious. He's still a master mictition, but some of his lines are kinda getting old. I never want to hear a reference to fruity pebbles ever again. Although calling Cena out for winding up on the box was relevant to Rock's immense popularity and influence. Otherwise, yeah.
Cena's actually been really good lately.

I think they might have compromised Rocks promo, notice he rarely went into Third person as he usually does. He was about to go on a tangent about Cena being shoved down our throats before the crowd started with the twitter chants. In my opinion, Thats more then enough ammunition to kill cena. But i will say, Cena brought his A-Game tonight. And i noticed that The Rock stumbled in the end. I noticed how he didn't use 3rd person, and I thought it was becuase he wanted to be more relateable and real with his promo, rather than larger-than-life THE ROCK. I thought it was a smart change, and the promo started off well...but once it got into "kung pao BITCH" and the stupid trending on twitter stuff, I couldn't stand it.

I like Cena, always have, he was great tonight, better than The Rock, still cheering against him because his "you left and that's bad" argument kind of sickens me. If he never used that line of reasoning, I'd be behind him 100%.

If that is anywhere near true than Rock deserves a freaking Emmy because no one could act that lost and stupid on purpose.

It seems to me they're trying to make this into a "holy shit these guys really don't like each other" semi-shoot. Cena did win this round handily though.

The Rock is still one of my favourite wrestlers of all time. The past still happened and nothing will change that.
His promo tonight was...really bad, though. I don't think I've even SEEN him get owned like that in a promo before. Whether it was scripted that way or The Rock just flubbed remains to be seen, but he didn't look good at all.
John Cena has earned this victory, and I'm going to have to be backing him come 'Mania.

I still really don't care.
Buuuut kayfabe Rock has a point, the majority of fans over the years are sick of Cena's character.

I'm with Rock on this. Cena is seriously coming across as a typical "I want my favs back!" douche fan. Did anyone really expect Rock to be there every single week? The guy was brought back in the first place as the Wrestlemania guest host. As for the promo itself, I thought it was meant to show how much control Rock has over the crowd. He doesn't need to prove anything promo-wise to Cena, we know he can go on the mic.
