Then why are Kelly, The Bellas and pre-heel turn Eve on Raw most weeks?

The division itself. Hell I'd forgotten she even had the title, or who was the titleholder at all.
That belt is completely irrelevant, moreso than the lower tiered men's titles.

Q: Why do Beth's title reigns suck? A: Because they aren't interested in putting effort into pushing her.

Because Creative sucks and unfortunate injuries.
Her first reign: Started out with a good feud with Candice, then she got injured. They kept waiting for her to return and when she did, she got injured again.
Her second reign: I loved this reign since it was in the Glamarella days. They continued waiting for Candice but then gave up and started waiting for Melina to return.
Her third reign: Sadly only lasted a few weeks because she got injured.
Her first divas title reign: AWFUL, AWFUL BOOKING.

Not to highjack the thread, but someone mentioned Maxine earlier, I just have to say I think she's been fantastic in her role too. I haven't seen enough of her matches to judge her in-ring work, but as a character she's great. And man, can she ever slap someone in the face! Back to Beth....has Beth vs. Natalya ever happened? I remember them squaring off in a battle royal one time but nothing more than that.

Beth is sort of the monster heel type of diva. At some point, it gets boring to watch the monster heel and Beth's been around for quite some time now so it's not that big of a deal anymore to see her dominate. Even if Beth was dominating and wrestling every week since she won the title, it'd be worse. Then we'd be subject to Beth Phoenix never losing for months and months against the same 5 divas. Big deal.

However, they've outright refused to do so which would more than likely make your theory correct more than likely.

Glamarella was one of the most entertaining midcard angles WWE's run in ages. That was a fantastic time for Beth, easily the peak of her career thus far.

Seems like every time one's face the other one is heel and vice versa, and when that's not the case they just keep them away from each other as far as feuding goes. I say they wrestle at WrestleMania this year. Also thanks DrX25 for the reminder.

AJ/Kaitlyn were way too low to matter so that meant Eve and Kelly. She faced them six pay-per-views in a row before they had to create new faces for her, when no one cared. Beth had decent matches with Eve and Kelly and STILL no one really cared. It's not necessarily Beth, but she just doesn't fit in with the WWE mold as far as I'm concerned.

Because it is impossible to be the champion of a non-existent division. This is not me being a sexist or anything like that. This is me being realistic. WWE produces about seven hours of first run television each week. Of that seven hours, if the women get five minutes of screen time, it was a good week for them. Yea. I don't know if people remember but this is a more extreme case of what it was like in 2006 late 2005 when the only women wrestlers in the division were Mickie and Victoria. Sure, you're champion but your lording over a division that's hardly worth ruling over. At least then the matches were longer, and the tags were actually good and you had that great storyline between Trish and Mickie, but you knew that things were struggling underneath and had been for a while, and once word got out that Trish was leaving the writing was on the wall. Beth is in a much worse situation though, because none of the women save a stronger built Melina, Natalya or Mickie James, is ever a credible opponent for her. They've never really been able to stand up as threats unless they were given long matches where they could work her over. But now most of those women are gone, and Beth needs exciting, credible opponents to work with. Eve came close. She gave her a match that was more entertaining than Beth's typical matches where her opponents can't give her any believable offense. But really, her best options were Natalya or Gail Kim before she left, who gave her an incredible match on Superstars, similar to the ones she used to work with Awesome Kong in TNA...because Gail, like Natalya or Eve, is willing to put her body on the line to get those matches over. If the other women can't or won't do that or their selling is bad, it's noticeable. Case in point: Kelly pathetically rolling away after a superplex. Back to Beth....has Beth vs. Natalya ever happened? I remember them squaring off in a battle royal one time but nothing more than that. They were in a triple threat match with Mickie too. Yea but they didn't do anything. Just head locks and pushed each other.

When it all comes down to it, this. Then who would make for a more interesting title reign? Eve, for starters. Nattie, whenever they're done with the fart thing, or at least toning it down. And if they ever bother to let a few of the newer divas do something on the main shows, that'll be cool too.

Eve's already had two title reigns that were even more boring than Beth's, and without the decent PPV matches to go along with it. But I wouldn't mind seeing the rest. Natalya could do well with another title reign after her first one got cut too short, and there are a few underused divas currently on the roster, as well as a few promising ones over in FCW.
