Then who is the Iron Patriot? Before wild speculation starts again with Iron Patriot, none of that means Rhodes isn't under the armor. It could just mean he'll go by Iron Patriot or called that. I don't remember if in Iron Man 2 he even announced himself, "Don't worry, it's me War Machine." I imagine that the U.S. Army will refashion War Machine into the Iron Patriot for P.R. purposes or something. |

BTW I didn't realized Shane Black was writing and directing. I've never watched the one movie he has directed so hopefully he knows what he is doing. He is a pretty good writer and I think his style of writing dialogue should fit the Tony Stark character pretty well.

Apparently this was the footage that we got for "powering up" Tony's arc reactor on Facebook.
Also, I think Black knows what he's doing. He has the writing skill to have Stark work. And at least he directed RDJr in his only directing gig before this. And that is regarded as one of the best underrated action films in memory.

Ben Kingsley was an unorthodox choice for The Mandarin in my view. Most obviously because he is not Chinese, of course, but also because I think he is a tad long in the tooth for an action oriented part-I have hoped to see an epic one on one between Iron Man and his arch nemesis. But with that said, Kingsley is an actor of tremendous talent I can envision him giving The Mandarin a unique depth as an over-arching villain who's ambitions are like nothing Stark has yet encountered in the films.
