I really liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, so this one might make up for Iron Man 2 which wasn't enjoyable at all.

I liked the trailer....however, I can't shake the TDKR feelings this trailer gave me.
Think of it like this, it is the third film in a series, the hero is suffering from after effects from a major traumatic event, a foreign terrorist leader comes in and wrecks everything the hero has built. For crying out loud they even did the broken mask image as well!
I'll need to see more footage, of course, and I'm sure I'll still like the film, but come on, a little too many similarities between the two so far for my liking.

I enjoyed the look of that.
Kingsley is far too old for Mandarin.
I have every expectation and belief that this will show how a dark and gritty superhero movie can be dark and gritty, but still be a superhero movie. Unlike Nolan's Bat films.

All I have to say is - FINALLY. The past two Iron Man films, while enjoyable, were presented as popcorn rock n' roll superhero movies, and that's just not what Iron Man is. It looks like we finally have an Iron Man film that's going to tackle the maturity and drama of the comic books. I've gone from not really caring when the movie came out to counting the months just based on that trailer.

On one hand I dunno if I really want a darker, more serious Iron Man movie. On the other, after the disappointment of 2 a change of pace is desperately needed, so who knows. {Spoiler}Any word on if they're still using that stupid almost entirely gold suit, though? Because that thing looks hideous. |
