Whatever people like AJ or think she is hot so her segment was fine whereas Kelly's was a hellish nightmare of suck. I think they were both terrible, except the crowd actually reacted to Kelly Kelly. Seems like bias to me. It most definitely is bias. Fact is AJ is easily by far the most fapped to diva around these parts. It's ok for AJ to be SuperCena, while everyone else get scathing hate. |

The only way it makes sense is she caught Natalya when Natalya had her guard down. Had Natalya been ready, this would've been an interesting match.

having kick boxed for 18 years I can tell you this from tons of experience.
The larger stronger person does NOT always win the fight. Heart, desire, skill, and a high tolerance for pain can overcome size/strength if its contained in the right package.
I remember watching some Natl Geographic show once where a huge male lion had chanced upon a female zebra and her young offspring. the zebras got cornered against some brush and the young one couldn't get through it.
What happened next was basically a beat down of epic proportions. The lion limped away when it was over, bloody from the lip and with a broken jaw from being kicked repeatedly by the mother zebra. You could see from the video the lions jaw hanging down all broken, it was pretty sick.
My point is there is NO 100% certainty in ANY confrontation. I have seen guys 5 foot 2 125 pounds kick the living crap out of 6 foot 4 255 pound monsters. I saw a 40 year old guy who looked like he trained exclusively at Burger King in a match against one of the highest rated young kick boxers in the USA, a guy who had trained in Thailand no less and had a body that would have made Paul Orndorff cry , and this old guy beat this young kid so badly thatthe kid retired after the match and became an accountant.
You never know.

Natalya's not that good. She's decent, but it's not as if the talent gap between she and AJ is huge by any stretch.

Nattie's never really shown me anything that says she's leaps and bounds better than any of the other women to be honest. She's ok, but I wouldn't say she's great by any stretch. Not snobby, a Hart Dungeon trained wrestler who is a better technical wrestler than some men on the roster gets downsized by fandom.
Eta- for reference see: Natalya vs Kaitlyn from about a week ago on NXT where she carries the bulk of work in the match due to her skill and experience; I understand that it has been a while since most have seen her actually wrestle to her full potential, but the truth is none of the women are in her league, even Beth.
Also edited for weird typing on the phone errors.

And to be honest, it's not as if any of the girls in WWE right now are fantastic(yes, this includes Beth) There's quite a bit of people in the WWE locker room that would disagree with you on that. Two examples being Punk and JR. Specifically when it comes to Natalya, who is widely considered the best wrestler in the diva roster. And yes, there is a gap in terms of athleticism, wrestling knowledge, and experience between Natalya and the rest of the roster, including Beth. I mean, believe what you want to believe, but I've watched the vast majority of the divas roster in the E, at FCW, and for those who worked outside of the E, in the Indies. And Natalya has worked way better matches than any of the others. Again, including Beth, AJ, Naomi, and the other divas who are considered "upper tier" by fans (wait, I think that's it). Back to the situation. AJ caught her off guard. And scrapped her face at that (honestly, I think if they had played up the blood aspect the angle would have been sold much better). Sure, it doesn't make Natalya look good, but the point was made: AJ is off her rocker. And not in a productive, title push way. If I were booking this, I'd have Natalya beat her in a rematch, and try to help her move on from DB. |
