Cena got the win. Brock put Cena out of action. Both guys look strong. It's simple booking and good business. Funny how the "smarks" don't really get how the business works at all...

You know s***'s going down when the RAW thread is at 6 pages and the show doesn't start for another 8 hours. What's been the longest Raw thread prior to the show itself on these very forums? I think the RAW after MITB got a good amount of posts but I can't remember the exact number.

I haven't seen the match yet, but i guess if you wanna "salvage" this, you pull a page out of the Austin-Bret (& other angles) playbook by having Brock beat the shit out of Cena and have him out injured for a few months.

Have Cena further elaborate on what he meant at the end of last night, and then interrupted by Brock arriving and utterly destroying Cena to a point where he has to be stretchered out of the building.

He was super protected. And if he's working every month, he's going to lose. That simple. He lost is doesn't matter if he took most of the match at the end of the night he was on his back and bleeding. He's only going to work a handful of matches he shouldn't lost until the big money match. And as poor for business as it was to lose before Mania at least have Cena lose this one and go away and then come back for revenge and have some heat. The top babyface beat the big bad heel bully and left him in a pool of his own blood. Thats how stories end not begin. Funny how you ignore the fact that Cena was in a pool of his own blood with his arm almost ripped out of his socket. Cena beat Lesnar on a fluke. The question now becomes "Can Cena beat Lesnar straight up?" That can get heat and is good for business.

There are pros and cons to either of them winning. There, I just saved some people seven pages of reading.

I didn't read the whole thread but basically, Cena beat the monster clean. Where does he go now? He was supposed to be this big monster running through people but the unstoppable monster was stopped. So what does it matter for someone to beat Lesnar, he was already beaten. You honestly think heel Lesnar is only good for 1 loss? Didn't he lose to Angle, get pinned by Benoit, and STILL have the big Eddie match where Eddie winning was a huge deal? It was hardly clean anyway. Lesnar had him pinned for an 8 count basically. If he hadn't knocked out every ref he would have won. He came back as a bigger star this time. He came back as a potential big money draw and now the guy who beats him wont be a big deal, because he's already been defeated. It's about drawing money. You build up the monster and it's a big holy s*** moment when Lesnar does lose. But that cant happen anymore. This match would have been great at next year's Wrestlemania.

What happened to the neutral RAW thread titles? Gas on the fire, much?

This thread proves that the IWC are never happy.
The PPV was great yet some people are still bitching.

This match was a fluke. The real question with Brock is what does he do in a standard match. I don't think his MMA move set will work well for him. He needs to take a little more pro wrestling into his move set IMO. But I think Brock is fine. If the match was competitive then I could see damage. However, the fact that Cena got in about 12 punches, a shoulder block, a shot with the chain, and a AA onto the stairs. I would say he made Cena his bitch.

I for one, am incredibly offended by the title of this thread. Honestly I can't believe that someone would title this "Raw Thread 04/30/12: Money down the Crapper" after what happened last night. The correct title should be "Monday night Raw: Starring Brock Lesner thread 04/30/12: Money down the Crapper" .

I feel a good name for the thread would be:
Monday Night Raw: Starring Brock Lesnar Thread 04/30/12: The Part of Brock Lesnar will now be played by Sarah Chalke.

Not to mention that they went out of their way to illustrate the point that Lesnar had the match won in a complete squash, there were just ref bumps. He SQUASHED Cena. Then, he got cocky and started having fun, and Cena made him pay.

Does anyone remember the episode when Edge attacked Evan Bourne before they were live? They didnt do the opening intro they just cut straight to the segment. I would say do that with Brock abusing someone else I think that could work. Don't know many faces who could fit in that situation. Maybe Zack Ryder, because he's Cena's friend. Or maybe another random Alex Riley sighting, because he has slight similarities to Cena in looks and moveset.

This has to be a record for # of pages before Raw has even started. Smart move OP (whether intentional or not).

Arguing for seven pages five hours before the show starts? Not a good way to start the show. But of course neither is titling the thread "Money Down the Crapper".
Good to know the philosophy of "stuff I don't like = bad for the business" is still tried and true.

Lots of opinions is a bad thing?
