From Seth Killian: Rocket Raccoon and Frank West coming very soon now both totally unique chars, can't wait to see what people do w these two... With Frank, expect photography, drinking, ridiculous weapons, zombies and... vomiting? Um...okay? Also, the changes for the Marvel side and the Capcom side

Acheivements for the game: www.xbox360achievements.org/game/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3/achievements/Basically, it's most of the acheivements from the original game, except some numbers have increased (for example, in the original, you needed to do 10 snap backs. In ultimate, it's 50). Also, Phoenix Wright officially has the best color schemes: {Spoiler} Miles Edgeworth/Mia Fey/Take Dick Gumshoe/Franziska von Karma/Hayabusa Larry Butz/Maggey Byrde/Ume Godot/Kay Faraday/Shiranui statue Sissel(Ghost Trick)/Lynne(Ghost Trick)/Amaterasu I would switch Kay and Mia around though. Godot and Kay literally have no connection and Mia and Edgey only met once. Whereas their swapped pairings make a lot of sense.

Ah, Rocket Raccoon, as psychotic and blood-thirsty as ever.
Also, I do like that Frank West uses a Servbot-Head/bulldog attack, but shouldn't it be the Level 2 special?

Rocket Raccoon sounding like Penguin from Arkham City? Not what I was expecting.

But he still looks awesome.

I was skeptical about Rocket Raccoon being in this game but that vid has changed my mind. He looks like the kind of character that nightmares are made of when he's in the hands of a skilled player.

shoryuken.com/2011/11/01/licensing-caused-mvc3-rush-japan-hates-dlc/Why is Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 releasing just 9 months after the first version of the game? And why is it a brand new disc instead of having a DLC option? The answers lie in the heart of Seth Killian, Capcom’s special fighting game adviser. Eurogamer asked him to help us understand these issues; It’s to do with “things most gamers don’t care about, even though they’re realities that affect every gamer’s life,” Capcom fighting guru Seth Killian told Eurogamer. That is, corporate release schedules and legal contracts. “Marvel is a big company that has their own schedule of licenses with windows,” Killian explained. “They have a huge impact on things like that. To have the wide range of characters we’ve been able to have in the game… “We have the license for this specific game, but other companies outside of Capcom have licenses for other Marvel games that impinge. So we have to find specific times where we’re able to release products. It’s on the Capcom side and on the Marvel side.” Still, if Capcom is forced to release in November, why not offer the game as DLC to those who purchased “Vanilla” MvC3? “Japan is still very much not a DLC market. DLC sales in general in Japan are vastly lower than they are here, even with popular games. DLC is not as much of a going concern. And online gaming in general is a lower adoption rate. The percentage of people playing any given title online in Japan is much lower. “Capcom has had different schools of thought internally. You’ve seen on the Street Fighter front has been a little more on the DLC side. But even on the Arcade Edition there was a balance there where they did do a disc release but they also made it available as DLC. “Capcom obviously has strong roots in the disc based tradition. That’s the way most games are sold in Japan, so this is the way to approach it naturally. Clearly they’re active in a global market, but are putting their toes in the water of shifting tastes for consumers in other places. Having just an all DLC release would be considered a strange move in Japan. Having an all DLC release would be odd.”

Some news before the game gets released: If you have saved data from the original MvC3, Galactus Mode is instantly unlocked. If you don't, you need to get 30,000 player points to unlock it. This time around, everyone will be getting DLC costumes. If you pre-ordered from Gamestop, Amazon or Best Buy, you get the following free: Gamestop: 'Friday Night' Morrigan Alpha Chun-Li 80's Storm and X-Men Evolution X-23 Amazon: DOOMWAR Dr. Doom Original Strider Cyber Akuma from Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and Original Sentinel Best Buy: 'Secret Agent' C.Viper S.T.A.R.S. Wesker ANNIHILATION Super Skrull and NEXTWAVE MODOK Jill and Shuma-Gorath will have their DLC costumes when purchased. If you got them for MvC3, they're transferred over and you'll still get the costumes, which are: RE3 Jill And Quoggoth The original costume pack from MvC3 (Dante, Chris, Ryu, Captain America, Thor and Iron Man) will be available day 1 for purchase. Again, if you originally bought this for MvC3, it'll transfer over.
