Avoid ESPN right now, they've been pushing Alabama to the BCS title game all day and will be continuing it into tomorrow. They going for the team that's going to bring in the money

Final y25 of the Regular Season:
1.LSU 13-0 (SEC) 2.Oklahoma State 11-1 (Big XII) 3.Alabama 11-1 (SEC) 4.Stanford 11-1 (Pac-12) 5.Boise State 11-1 (Mountain West) 6.Oregon 11-2 (Pac-12) 7.Wisconsin 11-2 (Big Ten) 8.TCU 10-2 (Mountain West) 9.Arkansas 10-2 (SEC) 10.Kansas State 10-2 (Big XII) 11.Michigan 10-2 (Big Ten) 12.South Carolina 10-2 (SEC) 13.Southern Miss 10-2 (C-USA) 14.Houston 11-1 (C-USA) 15.Clemson 10-3 (ACC) 16.Virginia Tech 11-2 (ACC) 17.West Virginia 9-3 (Big East) 18.Cincinnati 9-3 (Big East) 19.Baylor 9-3 (Big XII) 20.Nebraska 9-3 (Big Ten) 21.Michigan State 10-3 (Big Ten) 22.Georgia 10-3 (SEC) 23.Oklahoma 10-3 (Big XII) 24.BYU 9-3 25.Arkansas State 10-2 (Sun Belt)
I've put Oklahoma State ahead of Alabama, Stanford, and Boise due to being the only 1-loss conference champion.
I also feel the same in the 2 and 3-loss team categories that BCS conference champions should get first priority over non-champions. This provision also applies to TCU and Boise State in the Mountain West due to another rule I have where if you've won a BCS Bowl game in the last four seasons (whether it be the 07, 08, 09, or 10 seasons) that you get the same provision as the BCS conference champion and ranking priority in the same category.
Houston fell into the 2-loss teams due to their loss to Southern Miss because mid-majors by my rule can be as high as their losses are or below any team that has 1 more loss than them.
Southern Miss under normal circumstances would be behind most three loss teams. BUT by beating Houston, winning their conference, and due to how unfair I'd find it to be if they were behind Houston, they got a pass ahead of the 3-loss teams, Houston, but in my opinion are inferior to the other 2-loss teams.
BYU, due to being an Independent gets the "Notre Dame" clause where I perceive them as being on even ground with the BCS schools. As a result they are ranked with other 3-loss teams.
Arkansas State is ranked....well...because I really don't see any better options. The only other 3-loss team was Penn State and they went unranked in last week's poll. I also feel Penn State isn't much better at all than Arkansas State but that's just my opinion. After PSU in the 3-loss teams are mid-majors and as for 4-loss BCS schools I'd feel dirty if I ranked Florida State, UVA, Ga. Tech, Rutgers, or Notre Dame over a 2-loss Arkansas State team that won 10 games and their conference that only had losses on the road to Illinois (in the opener) and Va. Tech on the road (way back in September). Granted their best win was FIU and UL-L but the other teams don't look that much better so I kinda figure, why the hell not. Really if you ask me only 23 teams deserve ranking but 25 have to be ranked.
I really need to publish the rules of the y25. But I change them nearly every year. Granted I think I found the right way to do this. I also advocate an Oklahoma State vs LSU National Title game.

If I were to drop them, they'd be Number 23 behind Oklahoma and ahead of BYU (since I'm not impressed by this Cougars much either). Houston and Virginia Tech to me feel like the same virtual team with the only difference being which side of the ball plays best. They're two that I'm considering placing below the 3-loss teams (but above BYU and Arkansas State).

ENOUGH. I said get this back to football. I don't care who provoked who and who said what. I'm going back right now to clean this thread up, one time. I'm not doing it again. Everyone, especially you two, chill out and get this steered back to actual football or you're both getting a well deserved break from here next time this flares up. I'll unlock this as soon as I'm done.
*EDIT*
Keep this on topic from here on out. Take the petty shit somewhere else.

Couple of gut feelings abd thoughts on bowl:
Might we get Florida State-Notre Dame in Champs Sports Bowl?
South Carolina/Georgia/Arkansas- the next best SEC teams after big two. Who goes where?
How high is Baylor's bowl stock gonna go?
Conversely, how far down does Oklahoma's bowl stock plummet?
And maybe the most humorous bowl question of all- what of sub .500 UCLA?

I would say that V-tech should stay with the other 2-losses for their win against Georgia Tech... but Tech fell off the handle as of late as well. So yeah, I could see them dropping too.

It looks like the Rose Bowl will be Oregon vs. Wisconsin and the Orange Bowl will be Clemson vs. West Virginia.
One the best bowl games to me, is the Chick-Fill-A Bowl. It usually provides a solid game and is always a sell-out. I'm guessing this year will be South Carolina or Arkansas vs. Virginia Tech?

Sportsnation poll so far, 70% of people voting want LSU vs. Oklahoma State. Map shows only majorities in Alabama and Mississippi wanting LSU vs. Alabama.

Prior to tonight I was all for a rematch, but seeing OSU's performance against OU really made me want to see them play LSU.

Seriously, I'd put the over-under on that game at 80. If Arkansas plays V-Tech? That'll be pure destruction. I can't see V. Tech putting a good game up against Arkansas.

I think South Carolina ends up in the Capital One Bowl and Arkansas in the Cotton.
Reading the Associated Press recap of the SEC title game, sounds like Georgia is going to the Outback Bowl.

Mississippi isn't even a majority, it is currently 50-50. Bama is the only state where the majority of the people voting want Bama in the title game(VERY understandable).

First of the BCS Gurus have come out now and said that Bama will be #2 in both relevant polls, but enough people will flip to make them #2 in the BCS.
Jerry Palm still says Alabama seems safe at #2.
So who the f*** knows.
Writers are actually getting in to heated arguments on twitter over this now. It's incredible how divisive it is. Truthfully I don't even think it has that much to do with Alabam or Oklahoma State. It's just outrage over the BCS in general getting projected on to this particular situation.

Seriously, RGIII for Heisman is all I care about now. My rooting interest in this season, teamwise, died today with Syracuse's piss-poor performance against Pitt. If I had a vote it would look like this.

I think people latch onto any uncertainty or ambiguity in the system when it exists in the hopes that enough controversy will cause it to be scrapped. They want to amplify the shitstorm, and this situation is the best possible way they could have done it.

I don't blame this on the BCS.
I blame the human voters.
