Basically, yes. The NBA is faker than wrestling right now not for nothing, but for someone who hates the NBA so much, you sure do have a lot to say about it. Indeed.

It looks like Chris Paul will not get traded until the Hornets are sold, or unless another team is willing to pay a king's ransom.

The Clippers put in the winning waiver claim on Chauncey Billups.
Looks like they got a new PG today after all.

The Knicks reportedly met with free agent Jamal Crawford on Monday and are hoping he'll join the team for a $2.5 million exception.

Surprised Memphis gave up on Mayo, young and lots of upside. They didn't even get a haul for him. Very interesting development.

The Knicks reportedly met with free agent Jamal Crawford on Monday and are hoping he'll join the team for a $2.5 million exception. Crawford would work as a very good sixth man for them. But Fields should get the starting minutes. Fields can actually defend and might be able to develop into somewhere between a league average starter and a above average player. Knicks need to use that mid level exception wisely to bring a guy who can defend the 1-3 Or a backup power forward.

Yeah...I think this will hinge on the Pacers ultimatum they gave to Crawford's agent. They want him to make a decision by tonight as to what he's gonna do, so they can go ahead with the McRoberts-Mayo swap.

The New Orleans Hornets are gonna be left in shambles by the time Stern is done with it. They are running that team into the ground. Chris Paul is gonna haul ass ASAP and NO player worth a damn is going near that place voluntarily as long as the NBA owns it.

Knicks need to stay away from Crawford and give the 2.5 room exemption to Shawne Williams.
Also - God bless the Clippers for picking up Billups.

Honestly, I think the Pacers were dumb for giving up Shawne Williams...they could've used his 3pt shooting the last few years. Though I understand why they let him go. I really don't know whether I'd rather the Pacers get Crawford or Mayo....Crawford's got the experience, but Mayo has a huge upside if he can avoid being an idiot offcourt.

Last I heard they were working on keeping Shawne Williams, while getting Crawford, too.
I hope Landry Fields is the starting SG position and if they get Crawford as a sixth man type, they have a pretty deep bench with good defensive options like Shumpert, Crawford, and Bibby. I'd like to see Toney Douglas be the starting PG, but he really needs to be more consistent than he was last year. Half the time, he'd have a borderline all-star performance. The other half he looks like a D-League bench warmer.

I love Douglas as starting PG (and have said for years among many perplexed looks that he could be their PG of the future), but even I have to admit he is rather streaky. So was John Starks though, and he's loved by the NY faithful. Many forget that he was injured badly in the playoffs. He just decided to play through it. The kid has a great defensive mind and underrated shooting ability. The only thing he lacks is court vision - which is obviously key to being a great point guard.
Crawford sucks defensively, and should only be picked up if Purple Drank signs elsewhere. He's a great scoring punch off the bench, but has terrible IQ and is not one to pass (which is necessary on the Knicks considering they have two stars that love playing ISO). Williams was fantastic last year. He can play three positions and defend four. His three was automatic at times, and his defense on Lebron was surprising as hell. They shouldn't hesitate anymore. Williams wants to be a Knick, proved himself last season and doesn't care about the money or the number of years on the contract.
I would be all for having them both, but Crawford wants more than the 2.5 mil, and any sign-and-trades would prevent Drank from coming back to NY. Even if the money were enough, we would lose our room exception and be unable to buy Williams' services. The only way to get them both would be if Crawford took the vet minimum of 1.4 mil...which he isn't a fan of.
I won't even get started on Baron Davis coming here.

That is why they are the Clippers. If they give up Eric Gordon for Paul plus that Minny 1st round pick it would be the biggest over pay in a long time. Gordon should be off the table in any scenario. There aren't many elite young 2 guards in the NBA and Gordon is one of them. Don't give up a young stud like Gordon for Paul a guy you aren't sure will be there in the long run. That Minny pick plus Bledsoe along with Al-Farouq Aminu is a rebuilding package worth it for Paul (Along with Kaman's expiring deal). That would leave NO with TWO likely lottery picks (Their own plus that Minny pick) and some young talent on top of that? What more would you want if you are NO? A high draft choice PLUS two young players with upside? Along with an expiring contract? Seriously this is a fair deal but Stern is driving a hard bargain for no reason. If I were the Clipps I would just hold on to those assets till Stern stopped being a moron.
