Or people have different opinions from you. Hell, I don't mind Kelly - or particularly like Beth for that matter - but I thought the match was really sloppy and boring. I can accept different opinions, however there are some people in this thread who are just like "RAR KELLY SUCKS KELLYS f***ING AWFUL FIRE KELLY KELLY GO BETH PHOENIX!" and it makes me think that they didn't even watch the match and just hate that Kelly won. Now you say it was sloppy and boring, so I ask if you can point out the sloppy and boring parts to me. And I'll say again, name one other diva on the WWE roster outside of maybe Natalya that would take a top rope superplex from Beth Phoenix. Kelly at least deserves some credit for some of the spots she takes. I don't see how Kelly taking a superplex means the other Divas wouldn't. I thought the match was decent, but I can see the boring claim. To me, almost all Diva matches over 2 minutes feel like the actual time multiplied by 2 or 3.

I was thinking that since they did a horrid mistake at SS with Kelly retaining that tonight would be the equivalent to Benoit beating Orlando Jordan in 20 seconds. I have no possible clue what they are thinking with this booking. It's not getting Kelly over since no one buys it. It's burying Beth beyond words at a time when she and Nattie did a sweeping heel turn to run roughshod over the divas. Honestly this is the lamest women's title push since Taylor Wilde won the Knockouts title from Awesome Kong in TNA and won every match with a rollup. The week leading up to SummerSlam, Beth Phoenix destroyed Eve, AJ, and Kaitlyn on Raw/SmackDown. Outside of Kelly, those were the ONLY face divas left on the roster at the time. Her beating Kelly would have left her with nowhere to go since all of the face divas would have gotten destroyed by her already. I assumed they'd give her the win here, so I'm not sure where this leads to.

A superplex spot may be exceptional for a Kelly Kelly match, but for the most part, it's pretty routine. It's just an elevated suplex bump.

I just didn't like the ending to the match being the same thing that we saw at SummerSlam.
I honestly thought that Kelly was going to hit the rollup, and then Beth would have learned something from last month, and did some sort of reversal that stopped it. It would have fed off the last match, instead of being a carbon copy of it, with an added superplex.
I still don't get why Eve is Kelly's best friend... you would think she wanted her title back or something.

If she didn't, she wouldn't have been Beth's opponent in the number one contender's match earlier this month.
If Eve gets a title shot against Kelly, I suspect they'll play it up as a friendly rivalry.

My main problem with the match, and I put this mostly on Phoenix, is that it mostly just considered of awkward power moves followed by breaks where Beth would sell a brief flurry of offense by sitting there pouting. Plus there was the usual, "Eve randomly clotheslines the help for no reason," spot, which always just breaks up the flow of matches yet every freaking Kelly match lately seems to have. It was by no means terrible, and probably better than most divas matches, but at least their SummerSlam one told an actual story of Kelly trying to overcome the faster, more muscular foe by throwing everything she had at her in a nonstop flurry rather than just, "Power move. Power move. Punches. Superplex. Oh, Kelly wins with a roll-up."

Just because a monster heel beats down a face doesn't mean that they are incapable of being built back up as a threat at a later date. They way the current angle is going, the threat is not so much a threat anymore. Meaning there's not interest of conflict because the plucky underdog has already overcome the monster challenge multiple times. When the good guys win, the story usually ends because there's little more resolution to follow up on. But this is so typical of WWE over the past 5 years or so.

The whole storyline is intended to put Kelly over as the new centerpiece. I think they finally figured out that McCool is really gone, and Trish is never coming back. So they need a new "golden girl" to push. Might as well go with the young blonde that is actually over with the crowd. If Beth could get consistent pops like she did tonight in Buffalo, she would be pushed stronger.

If you want to blame someone, blame the crowds that cheer for the talentless mannequin. I personally see zero redeeming qualities. I don't even think she's attractive. At all.

That portion of the crowd cheers for whoever they're told to cheer for. She's getting a little better, but jesus they need to do an injury angle so she can go get acting lessons.

They must have not tried right with her then (didn't watch much Smackdown until lately, so I don't know what they did), because it doesn't seem like it took too much for them to cheer Kelly. She didn't work that great until recently, botched alot, has awful music and has no personality to connect with the crowd.

Oh, for crying out loud. Please, for the love of all things holy, give the belt to Nattie when it's her turn. I'm so sick of Kelly and her rollups. I'm sick of the fact that she has no personality, and it little more than a pretty face to look at. I'm sick of the fact that she doesn't even know how to run the ropes. In all of this, she's somehow managed to get over with the crowd. Maybe it was like the inexplicable face turn of Orton a couple of years ago. They put him against Sheamus, and all of a sudden, he's a face.

I loved it. I wanted Beth to win, sure, but whatever. The match was still good. Man, I love this attitude. That's exactly how I felt. About the entire show.

I thought the match was pretty good, and from the look Beth had after the match I think this is leading somewhere she seemed like she was close to snapping. Beth's spanking KK. Sorry that falls under the bimbo tactics category. I've gotta agree with that as soon as it happened, I said wasn't this one of the things they flat out stated they were against?

Pretty much a bait and switch. Old school (pre 2010) booking suggests that if your going to have the same match a month later without an added stipulation, then the heel would go over this time. It's kind of refreshing they did somthing different there. But it still baffles the mind.
I can't stand kelly kelly as it is. Everytime she comes out, she just does'nt have the feel of a wrestler. Layla, Eve, AJ and even Kaitlyn i can believe in. But Kelly is just infuriating to see the pushed as the main diva. How are they men't to get someone to the level of Trish popularity, when the are booking the most inept looking diva on the roster. Even Alicia Fox, would make a decent face of the diva's divison.

The whole thing though is that the diva's division isn't that popular, but Kelly still gets cheers at the live events and is famous with the Hot 100 or whatever she was on. The idea is to bank on this popularity and help her help the division. The big problem is that the supporters aren't helping Kelly get over since they're not good too (Ex. Bellas). I still don't get why they aren't pushing AJ better though considering everyone seems to love her, including the internet audience.

People are overating Kelly here,it was decent but nothing more and the Divas of Doom are pretty much done now. Both Beth and Natayla should be out of the title picture now having lost to her several times recently, neither of them look capable of beating Kelly which shows you the sorry excuse the divas division has come.I just cant see Kelly being stopped by these two.Perhaps something with the Bellas next for Kelly.Beth has been defeated twice on ppv in a row,she doesnt deserve another title shot in Kayfabe.

Technically, only Beth has lost to her (on PPV, when it mattered). Nattie has yet to get a title match against K2. My guess is, worst-case-scenario, they just feed Nattie to Kelly. On the other hand, and this makes more sense from a long term booking perspective, Nattie exploits some weakness that Beth hasn't (which is believable, as Nattie is the more technical of the two; Beth, for all her amateur wrestling experience, is basically portrayed as a flat-out powerhouse). From there, either they could either let Kelly chase for a while (I say, up until about Survivor Series, maybe even Royal Rumble), or they play up the tension between Beth and Natalya, and they feud for the title. Okay, that last one almost definitely isn't happening, but a guy can dream, can't he?
