Echoing the sentiments of the board, I'm glad she's taking some well deserved time off and I hope she stays off my teevee for a good long while.

Can't say I'll miss her, but its gotta be rough living life on the road like that. Hoping if she comes back that she had gotten some decent training, but I'm not counting on it.

It should be noted that in the last couple of weeks, a whole load of posed nude photoshoots have appeared on her official site . So it's not all bad news

and nothing of value would be lost.
I hadn't even thought of the fact she was gone, but I hope she never comes back.

Not surprised. I didn't think she'd stay as long as she did after the attention she got last year. It explains why the divas haven't been on tv in two weeks. Notice they only get screen time if they walk to the ring with Kelly Kelly. TBH if I were her I wouldn't stick around either. She can probably have more success dating a George Clooney or laying on a beach getting photos taken of her...stick around WWE too long as a woman and eventually they shove cake in your face/call you a pig/whore/or job you out the door.

I'll kind of miss her. Sure, she was far from the best in the ring, and maybe not as hot as she's made out to be, but her matches were harmless enough (I actually even liked a good number of them) and I've never had a complaint about her presence on TV.

I hope she gets the rest she deserves, regardless of her in-ring talent. But as mentioned by norsisclouds, it seems like the entire division is on PAUSE without her (and the Bella Twins too)... {Spoiler}The only Diva match all week is Tamina v Natalya on NXT, which means neither RAW or SmackDown will have a Diva match this week. And I don't think Layla, the actual Divas Champion, has even appeared since she defended the belt against Beth Phoenix at Over The Limit. On the other hand, AJ and Eve Torres are featured players every week on TV, and if they can manage to carry over their heat to Diva matches, they could be pretty useful later in the year.

The reason for no divas specifically Layla for the last 2 weeks is because they are on the raw tour. I see it as WWE see AJ and EVE as the divas most needed for tv and the rest they sent on the tour.

I like Kelly, she's hot and it's not like most of the others divas are that much better in the ring (aside from Beth, Natalya, and Kharma) and none are really as over as she is.
I hope she comes back.

Layla was at Raw Monday. WWE just chose to not use her.

No wonder the women haven't had televised segments for a couple weeks, what with the only one who's actually over taking time off.
It does strike me as slightly suspicious for this to come right after she made the Maxim Hot 100 a second time; she could be pulling a Sable and deciding she's big enough she doesn't need WWE anymore, and she's likely to be just as mistaken.

At least she's not getting fired like Maria did

Looking like the Kelly Kelly Express has finally been derailed. Good Riddance. Why did WWE waste so much effort on her over the years? She wasn't even over.

I agree with all the comments about her lack of in-ring ability, zero conveyance of emotion, and generally low intelligence, but she was definitely over with fans.

Looking like the Kelly Kelly Express has finally been derailed. Good Riddance. Why did WWE waste so much effort on her over the years? She wasn't even over. She's been one of the more over diva's since she started. She's been more over than Laycool, Alicia Fox, Askana, Beth Phoenix, Eve (until she friendzoned Zack Ryder), Natalya, AJ (but that'll soon change), The Bella Twins, Maria, etc. Saying she wasn't over with the crowd is a understatement. But it's good she's taking time off to rest injuries and to regroup. I'm 21 and every passing year since 17 feels like you've aged two years. Going to the WWE and getting some fame and fortune that young and not looking back for a long time is mentally tough. I'm one of the few people here but I felt she was a bit underrated in the ring and even though I admit she's expressionless and has dead eyes, she did have charisma. Plus some of these comments on this thread are pretty tasteless. I sometimes think if it was a untalented wrestler (Jinder Mahal) taking time off over a talented diva (Layla), their will still be more disturbing insults to Layla than to Jinder Mahal.

Kelly Kelly, I fully understand how long you've been working and how much of your life you gave to the business. I appreciate that you worked so hard in an attempt to entertain the masses. From the bottom of my fandom's heart, please let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Stay gone. You're not needed. Go out and do something...else.
