Wow, I'm glad I have a couple days off this week to catch it because it doesn't look like Seven Psychopaths is making it to next weekend.

Wow, I'm glad I have a couple days off this week to catch it because it doesn't look like Seven Psychopaths is making it to next weekend. I don't know. I think it might be one of those that takes a while to catch on. It has gotten some pretty good reviews, and with damned good reason. I just watched it tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We can all rest easy...Alex Cross didn't do well. Of course, PA4 didn't have the numbers as huge as PA3 did, but it's still a win, since the budget was only $5 million again. So we'll be doing the same thing next year. And Argo is going to hold up well, due to great word of mouth. I keep hearing it's one of the best films of the year.

Considering Alex Cross's budget is $23 million, it'll make it back if it's in theaters long enough. I give it a month to do it.

so you guys wanted alex cross to bomb just because of tyler perry wow just wow Well, yeah. He's a plague on cinema, plus he's playing an action hero... it's a little obnoxious. He'll still be rich and still make hundreds of millions of dollars by playing up racial stereotypes in a fat suit, so give us this. He's hardly the first person to have a bomb wished upon.

As expected. It's cheap to make, and they make money.

He does reach beyond that, you know. He does do the occasional romance/drama and they are decent enough.

Why are people happy when movies do badly? What do you care, are you in Hollywood? I don't get it, jealousy is a terrible thing..

For some, if so-called "terrible" films make a lot of money, it ensures more of said "terrible" movies get made. There's been three Transformer movies and I've seen none of them, haven't spent a dollar on the franchise. And there will be more. What difference does it make? Does anybody really begrudgingly buy a movie ticket? And are these things really that hard to avoid/ignore? I've never seen a Twilight movie, but I can't deny it's popularity. Doesn't bother me that it's probably going to be rebooted over and over again.

Because if it is possible to make From Justin to Kelly or The Real Cancun for a million dollars, and they were profitable, it ensures we get a lot more cheaply made inferior products. At the end of the day, the film industry is a business. So we hope the market holds the industry to a higher standard.
