I love Orton's in-ring work. The guy has been on fire this year.
His character just doesn't do it for me though. By rights it should do since he's far from a generic, bland, smiley babyface and Orton does well with some aspects of the gimmick but, there's something about it that fails to grab my attention. Maybe it's just that Orton's promos are so dull?
I am becoming more fond of him now that he isn't super unstoppable Orton. But, that's the same with all wrestlers. Not a fan of the superman type push that Orton had earlier in the year where he steamrolled every opponent. Just made everything so dull and predictable. Now that Orton has been dropping losses to guys like Henry, Cody and Barrett he's been a lot more fun and I've gotten into his matches because you don't know who is going to win.

This summer and fall so far have been about the humbling of Cena and Orton. Not in the Iron Sheik sense, but they definitely don't seem as untouchable as they were. The rest of the roster is catching up.

I liked him fine until the whole thing with Christian. After that I thought that he was basically the John Cena of Smackdown as far as looking too indestructible, and I wanted to see him get beat.
Thankfully, he did get beat, and hasn't been booked as Super Orton lately.
