Just from reading the spoilers I have so far... {Spoiler}I really hope it's not a River Song backwards-perception thing, but... they could always keep her as a Dalek and do a Seven-Of-Nine route?

{Spoiler}The Doctor is a time traveler so he can go back and get her before they turn her into a Dalek.
I know it's a paradox but it's never stopped him before, She kept saying "remember me"

Well that was a fun start to the season. {Spoiler}Not too sure how I feel about all the Daleks getting their minds wiped, one of the major things about the relationship between the Daleks and the Doctor is how much history there is between them. Kinda hoping this retcon somehow gets retconned.

I guess it counts as a spoiler {Spoiler}It was confirmed a while ago that she is the new post Pond companion. So yeah, definitely going to be back, unless that whole story and report was a massive lie/trick Major spoilers regarding the episode. {Spoiler}I'm guessing if she actually is the companion, then it's a River Song type thing where he meets her when she already knows him, but they didn't seem to allude to that this episode. Although it would be pretty surreal if they actually kept her as a Dalek and STILL have her as a companion. Doubt they'do that. {Spoiler}I'm pretty sure they won't do River Song again, I'm thinking she just does something clever before the Asylum exploded.

Haven't watched in a while, I found this episode...very hard to get into/take seriously until perhaps the last fifteen minutes. I think this series is going to be a real grower.

I'll put it in spoilers even though it was announced months ago .. {Spoiler}I didn't know that woman from today's episode is going to be The Doctor's Companion permanently. I liked her, so it works for me.

I dont actually like the way Moff writes.
Much like Grant Morrison, he falls in to the camp of not really writing good weekly shows (or monthly comics), but when you put it all together, it does all generally make sense.
It may be evil and wrong and whatever to say it, but I preferred RTD's structure style, even if I prefer the darker tone of the Moff era.

While I enjoy both writers stuff I couldn't stand RTD's habit of constantly ending series by killing off main villains. Sure it wraps everything up nicely but that means you've got to unwrap it again to get them back in the show leading to some stupid convoluted reason.
Bring back Davros, awesome. Killed off. Bring back The Master, brilliant. He's dead. How did he even come back again? Some potion and the secret books of Saxon? And then he's killed again!
At least with Moffat the threat can be defeated but still live to terrorise another day. The Silence is still out there.

True, Davros was missed today, as a good example of killing him off not being a good idea.
I disliked the Silence though, so I've no issue with never seeing them again.
Typical, the ones I liked are killed off, the ones I dont can come back at any point

If they don't show you actually dying, I don't think you count as dead.
Davros could've been snatched up before it was too late, or the Daleks could bring him back since they're made of his cells now.
The Master didn't die, we saw him fall back into the Time War, but that's not dead. And, he's proved to be a genius beyond The Doctor, if anyone is going to escape the Time War, it's him.

Davros would've been perfect to have in an episode like tonights. All he had to do was have Davros teleport or escape in a pod and it would've saved another writing staff having to think of a reason to get him back. Dalek Caan can only fly in and save him so many times. On a related note.... {Spoiler}I thought Skaro was destroyed in the Time War. Isn't it timelocked like Gallifrey?

{Spoiler} I think including the old series Skaro has exploded at least five times, and been enveloped by a supernova, so yeah, I think the general thought is that they've terraformed multiple planets into Skaros.

{Spoiler}Plotholes, bizarre characterisation just to give them a dramatic soap-opera split to lead into it, a story better suited to the Cybermen, Daleks that have somehow developed a concept of democracy in their interrim, and a nice slice of Moffat's biphobia to round things off.
I'm sticking with Big Finish until Moffat's gone. We'll be getting a far better Dalek story arc in a month or two anyway, courtesy of Nick Briggs.

I'm really not feeling Moffat's take on Doctor Who. Amy is just so damn unlikeable, every episode feels kinda samey but in a new location and Matt Smith, while decent, has a really weird take on the Doctor. He seems to randomly turn into an arsehole when providing his explanation to Oswin about her being a Dalek. He talks to her as if she's really pissed him off in some way when she's actually a good person who doesn't even know she's a Dalek.
It's not the first time he's done this too. Smith seems to have two settings: Silly, happy cartoony Doctor and inexplicably serious, arseholeish Doctor. I'm getting a bit sick of him and hope he regenerates soon.
As Legion said, Moffat's story arcs make sense at the end, but the journey kind of gets you excited for the ending, which is extremely anti-climactic. Would like to see RTD return but Moffat is well-liked critically so I don't see him going sadly.
