USC senior QB Matt Barkley will not start Saturday's game against Notre Dame due to an AC sprain in his shoulder.

Looking at Oregon and Stanford in the rankings this week is interesting. If it were just human voters, Oregon would be #4, but they're dragged down by the computers. But Stanford has the opposite problem, they should be 5th according to the computers, but humans have then at 11.
Of course, if it were up to the computers, Florida would be #2 right now, the computers love them and dislike Georgia. If it were just computer averages, we'd be looking at ND vs. Florida for the NC game, although a Bama win at Georgia would probably change that.

Before I retire for the night I want to say, Bully! To Notre Dame on their first visitation to the BCS #1 ranking. You have been AP, coaches ect ect. Eight consensus national titles, but never until tonight, have you been BCS #1. You are more than relevant despite three to find yrs of folks saying otherwise. Bully damn it!

Fiesta: Kansas State vs. Oregon FUN. The only people who won't be having fun is KSU, Oregon, and their fans because they all feel they should have been in the BCS Title game................but blame those darn people at Stanford/Baylor.

Andrew, you're wrong is saying that SU will go to the Belk, they are Pinstripe bound as the Pinstripe normally gets the 4th place team in the BE which is what SU is.

Take this with a grain of salt.
The Dude of WV @thedudeofwv The Big 12 expansion committee meet last week & decided to approach FSU, CU, UL & NC St.
But he was kinda sorta right durring the summer...so who knows. But that is strange they were talking before Maryland left.

Cantus, can you give me the long titles of those abbreviations? Thnx. FSU = Florida State, UL = Louisville, NC ST = North Carolina State. I'm guessing the CU is Clemson or Cincy.

Maryland's board of regents has approved the move from the ACC to the Big Ten, although timetable is yet to be determined, per ESPN.

This is just going to continue until we hit the two magic numbers. Four conferences, sixteen teams each.

The East. I have revoked your adjective. You are no longer the Big anything. Merge w/Conference USA or disband. BTW, Sirius radio is saying UCONN is begging to be in the ACC.
I don't mind super conferences a bit. Makes sense with a four team playoff. Not saying champions only, but it does make a regular season quite important despite a playoff.
