The film had it's flaws but I think the thing it got perfect was... {Spoiler}That first fight scene with Bane. When Batman is just giving it his all and just gets his ass handed to him. You can see him come to the realization that he can't beat Bane.
The second fight scene was great too. {Spoiler}The first fight was my favorite scene in the entire movie. Not even close. Also one of my favorite Bane lines in the entire movie came at the end of it when he breaks his back.
"Ah, I wasn't sure which would break first. Your spirit ... or your body."
Bane had a number of bad ass lines in this movie. {Spoiler}Yeah, that scene was fantastic. I even cringed when he broke his back. Which was rather surreal. Never thought I'd see Nolan pull the Knightfall angle off so well.
And the second one was equally awesome. God damn, whoever does the cinematography needs an Oscar because that was some great stuff. Anyways, Warner Bros. just posted this news. That's classy of them, even if it's something very little. Deadline is estimating though that it's first day gross will be somewhere on par of 80-85M, which is about the same as Avengers and it's 80.5M first-day gross.

I thought the voice was great. Had no trouble understanding him, and liked that it wasn't a typical 'bruiser' voice. And yes, the first fight.. greatness.

I saw it at midnight, and I have to say that this movie was pure amazing. My only issue was Bane's voice, though it didn't completely take me out of the movie. {Spoiler}I thought it was Sean Connery at first. Tom Hardy did a damn good job with Bane.

Just got back from seeing it there. It's nearly 3 am here so I'm not gonna go into too much detail now, but I absolutely loved it. {Spoiler} - Thought Hardy was great as Bane. The fight scenes were brilliant, I especially liked that in the first one there's no music at all so you can really focus on the pounding that Batman's getting. I didn't have any major trouble understanding his voice, I think there were only two lines that I missed. - One of the things that I was hoping for was for Scarecrow to turn up again, so I was pleasantly surprised to see him as the judge in the 'people's court'. - The reveal of Talia was good. I had my suspicions while watching but it was still a nice little twist. - Would've liked if the ending was kept a little more ambiguous like maybe have just shown Alfred salute like he did and not cut to Bruce. Kinda do an Inception where it's up to the viewer to decide. Also the Robin reveal was a little on the nose, maybe have had his real last name just be Grayson or Todd or something. But trust me, those are minor nitpicks.
So yeah, overall really enjoyed it and a satisfying end to the trilogy. The Wire's Major Colvin is also in it. And Quinn from Dexter. He played {Spoiler} the cop that blows the bridge towards the end.

I saw it at midnight last night. Had a great time, the local museum that has an IMAX theater had a marathon. Started at 6 with Begins, 830 with Dark Knight and then 12 with Dark Knight Rises. Was a great night.

Now, while the film was pretty straight forward and didn't really leave anything up to interpretation, there is still one thing I found at least partially vague. {Spoiler}The Mayor died at the football game, right? I mean they showed a suite/press box exploding in the football arena, and I know the Mayor was in one of those things at the game. I just don't really remember if they showed that it was his suite. I mean I'm pretty sure he is dead because didn't he say something to the effect that the Dent Act wasn't going to change as long as he was around? Well the Dent Act certainly changed after Bane turned Gotham into a city-state. Also, about that, I just find it funny that Bane was a better Agent of Chaos than The Joker was in TDK. Now The Joker was certainly crazier than Bane, but Bane did what The Joker couldn't. He introduced true chaos to Gotham by doing one simple thing, giving the city back to the people. The Joker tried to cause chaos via multiple VERY convoluted plans, Bane was basically, "Ok, here's the plan for descending Gotham into a mass of chaos and anarchy: Step 1: Destroy the bridges, cutting Gotham off via the land, at the same time trap all but a handful of the city's police underground and revealing a nuclear weapon that only one person could disarm, who by the way I killed. Step 2: Rile the people up by revealing the truth behind their shining beacon of hope, their ideal of the incorruptible. Step 3: Break at least 1,000 people from prison. Step 4: Step 5: Profit!"

Besides, if the mayor had lived, don't you think Bane would have caught him and made an example out of him before killing the mayor in front of the masses?

I think he would've let the people of Gotham handle that for him, especially if he lived long enough to be taken to Crane's "court".

Saw it earlier today with my fiancee, we caught a late matinee, and it was fantastic. Equal parts Knightfall and No Man's Land, and it just worked. {Spoiler}Bane's voice though.....ehhhhh. My fiancee didn't hear it, but to me, he spent the bulk of the movie sounding like Borat on steroids.

Remember, there was at least 1,000 VERY pissed off people in Blackgate because of the Dent Act, so if the Mayor survived the football arena, I kind of doubt he would've survived the freeing of the Dent Act "victims".
Still the same result, the people of Gotham killing him, just via street justice instead of court justice. He honestly would've needed to dodge a lot of bullets, both figuratively and literally to be judged by the honorable Jonathan Crane.

Every post in this thread being Spoiler tagged is silly.
If you haven't seen the movie, and don't want it spoiled, you wouldn't be in a thread about the movie before you've seen it and after it's been released in theatres.

{Spoiler}Actually, just thought of the one thing that actually sincerely bugged me from the movie, and any Dragonball Z fan will get where I'm coming from on this: The liberal use of "Freiza Time" during the climactic sequence. There's no way all that crap happened in just 11 minutes. But, it was a good movie, so I roll with it.
