I gave the episode a 10. I honestly got a bit teary-eyed this episode, damn near lost it during the song even, as this episode hit a bit close to home. My family has two yearly massive gatherings similar to reunions where everyone, or damn near everyone at least, comes. We even get people from far out of state to attend. The first one is held in the summer and the other one is held in December for Christmas. In fact this year's Christmas gathering is tomorrow(HELL of a timing by The Hub).
And being a straight up Okie these gatherings are straight up country just like the Apple Family's was.
The personal connection I had with this episode alone makes this a 10/10 episode for me. The jokes and song make this go way overboard. I'd give this a 20/10 if possible. This is by and far my favorite episode of the show.
Only downside was Braeburn and Hayseed not talking(also Hayseed is an Apple? I guess that means anyone with a crop related cutie mark/name are all part of one big massive branching family?). Hell this episode even made me like Babs for crying out loud! Reminded me that no matter how different they may be, family is still family.
Just, man the exact opposite of last week's episode for me. This was the kind of episode I needed after last week.

Didn't get to watch the episode with you guys, but I'll watch it now then give my thoughts. I'll see it later tonight. True story - went grocery shopping for apples for an apple pie for christmas. Almost bought Braeburns, Macintoshes, and Granny Smiths but I'd be the only one to get the joke

I'm fighting between an 8 or 9. It's the best Applejack episode by far. I may as well hit with the 9, Applejack's emotions at the end really gave the hit on this episode. There's not a lot I can say, at the beginning I must say I didn't know what to expect, but towards the end where Applejack is trying to make everything so, "extravagant" brings the message that family is more important than anything. And that what makes it such a fantastic episode, I'll go as far as to say my favourite episode of Season 3 so far, and there has to be some tough future episodes to beat this one.

A truly heartwarming episode with great pace and characterization.

Ok so how many of the last few episodes have been leaked?
There have been more episodes leaked this season than the previous two seasons combined, so.....something has to be done. Whatever that is. Maybe they should wait to put the episode up on iTunes until well after the episode has aired? Like say at least a week long gap between the episode airing and posting it on iTunes?
Then again(*puts on conspiracy cap*), what if this is all a ploy to hurt MLP's ratings, at least from the Brony side of things? Bronies are very internet savvy and thus by giving them the episode early fewer of them will watch the episode live, thus hurting the ratings just bit. And to keep this whacky conspiracy going what if this is all being done to further push LPS?
But seriously, something has to be done on Hasbro's/The Hub's side to stop these leaks if they aren't being done intentionally at this point. And considering how often it is happening now I really am starting to wonder if it is intentional now.

I'd give this a 10/10 just for Baby!Applejack alone, but it's a good thing the whole episode was some great heartwarming stuff.

This season's bumped Applejack from my least favorite to 4th. She's been really good this season.
Order of preference as of today:
1. Rainbow Dash 2. Twilight Sparkle 3. Rarity 4. Applejack 5. Fluttershy 6. Pinkie Pie
Pinkie Pie's drop in stock is dramatic because she used to be my second favorite. But lately she feels more like a caricature of herself.

But seriosuly though and I'm not even saying this in fanboy mode. What is the teams problem with Fluttershy? She seems to be the only Mane 6'er that has done the square root of f*** all this season It's not on.

Maybe something is planned for Fluttershy, I hope she get's an episode in though. I don't recall too many episodes in general.
