I haven't watched any anime in a while, mostly because the many cliches were driving me nuts.
One of the things I hate is the girl who says something 'cute' after every sentence. The only char I tolerate doing this is Suiseiseki, dammit.
My most hated one, though, is where the male protagonist will walk in on the girls getting dressed, they scream, punch him in the face, and the camera zooms out. This happens in almost every harem ever! In fact, the general violence to male chars by the females in anime is annoying. Why's it supposed to be funny?
Anyway, that's all I've got for now.

I'm sure this will get added.
The DBZ Stall - Be it power ups or dragging out things that should take an episode at best to ten episodes.

"______ is an average high school boy when one day, he meets _______ and his life is changed forever." This seriously seems to be the pitch for half of all animes and mangas these days. Note that it can apply to Heroic Fantasy, Mecha, Romance, Sports and practically any kind of work targeting a teenage audience. I'm sure this will get added. The DBZ Stall - Be it power ups or dragging out things that should take an episode at best to ten episodes. Gotta agree with that, though I'm under the impression studios are at least trying to avoid it these days. I tried to get into DBZ, but I found myself spending most of time shouting " WOULD YOU JUST THROW THAT BLOODY FIREBALL ALREADY?!" at the screen.

Gainaxing.
I like seeing boobs bounce, but dear lord tits do not defy gravity!!!!!!
Speaking of defying gravity, unrealistic hair styles. Granted anime and manga creators the last few years have been giving characters more "realistic" hair than in the past, but some still have really out there hair.
Hero immunity. Bleach is insanely bullshit with this. It took until the current story arc for there to be confirmed casualties on the good guy side(and even then it is only 2 confirmed named character deaths. There are a few unaccounted for after grievous wounds but they haven't flat out said they've died).
And another thing Bleach is the prime example of but isn't the sole culprit of is protagonist power ups. Ichigo literally now has access to all the power pools in Bleach at least at some point in time. Starting with Shinigami powers, then Hollow/Visored powers, then Fullbring powers, and now Quincy powers(via his mom). Not to mention I lost track of how many times he was upgraded during the ending part of the Hueco Mundo arc which I think all happened in the span of a single day.........

First Tsundere girl wins in EVERY HAREM ANIME EVAR!! That's usually because the first tsundere is usually the first girl met and usually the first girl wins. Rarely will the last girl win, though. Any girl other than first or last is just there to fill out the harem/provide romantic tension.

The hero pulls some random power out of his ass, which just so happens to be what he needs to win.
Another thing Dragonball does often, now that I think about it.

As a general rule, if you can skip 3 or more episodes and find the plot hasn't moved on at all, the series isn't worth watching. I used to be part of my Uni's anime club, but I was away for a few weeks due to illness and exams, and Slayers fit this rule exactly.
Also, if the amount of fanservice exceeds the amount of plot and the series isn't actually porn, everyone involved should be fired.

I mentioned this in the "character types you hate" thread, but I'll bring it up here too, since it's so common in anime and manga; the girl who's basically legally an adult (18-24, since 25 is "old woman" territory in anime), but she still acts like a 5-7 year old. She's a klutz, and she always refers to herself in the 3rd person.
We're supposed to find this cute and endearing, but..... no.

I'm sure this will get added. The DBZ Stall - Be it power ups or dragging out things that should take an episode at best to ten episodes. It's like in Yu-Gi-Oh, where one f***ing duel can sometimes last upwards to ten episodes or so, all because they keep yakking and whatnot. That kinda also reminds me of decompression in comic books, but on a more extreme extent.

The one where the action comes to a stand still so that they can explain how their attacks work.
And then there's the one where the action seems to stop completely when the characters' are thinking to themselves.
And then there's what I like to call the "trap card effect" where there seems to be a counter to a counter to a counter that just drags the episodes for too long.
I don't think there are mutually exclusive to anime/manga, but they're annoying nonetheless.

The adult girl who looks (and might act) like a child. Could be known as "lolicon". I really don't get the appeal behind this.

The DBZ Stall - Be it power ups or dragging out things that should take an episode at best to ten episodes. One of the beauties of DragonBall was that there was rarely a break in the action; if a fight carried over for several episodes, it was just because it was a long fight. Compare with DragonBall Z where a long fight becomes even longer because one guy spends fifteen episodes charging a fireball that ends up missing anyway, thus negating the purpose of said fifteen episodes. You know another thing I liked about DragonBall? The lack of God-Tier characters. I hated when the Saiyans became so god-moded that by the time the Buu Saga rolled around, the rest of them seemed like pedestrians compared to the Saiyans. Then they introduced fusion and it just got worse. Same with other animes - there's nothing interesting whatsoever about a god-moded character.

That's the Buu Saga for ya, all the new god-like characters, and the damn GenkiDama is what ends up winning it. Eh? Like you said, it's one of the reason I prefer the original series. On topic, visual gags and internal monologuing.

Here's one that I used to love but now am starting to loathe. The token beach episode. Serves no purpose other than to show off the ladies in the skimpiest swimsuits possible.

I admit I haven't seen a whole lot of anime, but where have you seen that one? I don't recall that cliche from what I've seen.
