Makes sense, he's athletic enough to make a spread offense work. With Richardson, you could go run-heavy to hide the fact that McCoy can't really throw downfield well. Though it will mean that they wasted a first round pick on Weeden...... well they kind of did. Main reason they drafted Weeden was Heckert and Shurmur got all butthurt with how Colt and his Dad dealt with his concussion

Panthers owner Jerry Richardson confirmed that Ron Rivera is staying head coach. I couldn't be more pissed about this. Ron Rivera is about as qualified to be a head coach as I am, which is to say, not at all. I just don't understand it. With even the slightest potential of someone like Lovie Smith or Chip Kelly (would've been interesting to see what he would've done with Cam) coaching, you stick with a proven loser who never fails to look completely clueless? It doesn't make sense. With Ron Rivera as head coach, the Panthers will be what they have been for the last couple of seasons. Nothing more. As a fan, I would like to send a "f*** you" to Jerry Richardson. As a member of this board, I apologize for the rant and the time wasted reading it.

Smart move by Carolina, IMO. Team wasn't great but finished strong and I'm always of the opinion a coach should get at least 3 years unless the absolutely tank in year 2. Plus they have no GM and by the time they hire one the top candidates will be gone.

I'm abstaining from the poll on the mvp. It's obviously Adrian but as a Packer fan I just can't vote for him. May be after tomorrow when scores are settled.

I'll just quote what I said from another thread about Rivera: Believe it or not, the Panthers were ranked 10th in defense DVOA this week (keep in mind that they're schedule is the 19th easiest defensive schedule). Also, they went an abysmal 1-7 in games decided by a score or less, which is bound to improve next year. If I'm a Panthers fan, I'm pretty excited about this upcoming season. Also, they ended the season 10th in offensive DVOA, 11th in defensive DVOA, and 29th(!) in special teams DVOA.

Also not to sound too corny or anything but good luck to every F.A.N member who has a vested interest in a team in the playoffs. It's eight months with out football if you lose. It sucks if you lose, fantastic if you win. I hope there's no 'Fail Mary' type plays and the right teams win the games.
*sighs* Friggin' nervous as heck. lol

If nothing else, I hope it serves as "The Idiot's" final season. This was the season I was excited about, only to quickly see that the playoffs were going to be pipe dreams once again.

I hope someone shows this to Adrian Peterson Because let's see him get real angry. Is this in Green Bay? If so whoever put the sign up should probably remember that AP ran for 400 yds or so in 2 games vs the Pack. I hope that he goes for about 250 and just breaks their spirit singlehandedly just for someone being dumb enough to put this sign up.

The guy roasted us in two games this year and seems like a relatively nice guy in his interviews and stuff. I have a lot of respect for Adrian, just a shame he plays for the Vikes.

Why would you even post that I find it hilarious that, of all people on this forum, that you are the person to protest someone posting some bad news.
