This reminds me of DRAG ME TO HELL.
The main character seemed like a nice person and all, but she just came across as.....so pathetic. So much bad s**t happened to her that I found it impossible to actually feel bad for her. It was like she was created to suffer and then die, and those 2 attributes just steamrolled (for me at least) any attempt to create likeability or pity for her.
Of course, going into it knowing how it ended (apparently the whole movie was kind of a rip-off of an old EC Comics short story - the endings are EXACTLY the same) didn't help either.....

Jesse from Saved By The Bell? Jesse did get on my nerves with her rants sometimes, so she is a good choice.

BTW, Laura Winslow I guess was a protagonist in "Family Matters" where Urkel dominated. I hated the way she treated Urkel, a guy who has done nothing but love, respect, and cherish her. Laura may a been a bitch but I can't blame her for her attitude towards Urkel as the guy was one or two steps away from being a full blown stalker and it took him a while to learn how to respect her boundaries as a person.

Not to mention that he wasn't the perfect gentleman the series tired to portray him as the before mentioned constant harassment of Laura and how he treated other women such as Myya. Myra Monkhouse might of been a batshit crazy and creepy/clingy bitch but still I can't help but feel sorry for her when in one episode Ukrel said point blank to her face that the moment Laura shows any interest in me your out on your arse.

While she wasn't a main character I found will smith's mum in the Fresh Prince to extremely unlikeable. Whenever she appeared I honestly wished Uncle Phil would give her the Jazz treatment by chucking her arse out the door. I mean in the first episode where she appears in, she swans in and unbelievably rude to Uncle Phil and treats like shit and has the gall to bemoan both him and Aunt Viv on how they raise their children even though she sent her only son to live with them for a better life.I mean what an ungrateful bitch considering that both her sister and brother in law are sending Will to a expensive school and providing him with opportunities that he could never get back home on their own dime.

The only one that comes to mind is Elliot Stabler on Law and Order: SVU. Jack Bauer could get hardcore on suspects and abuse the Constitution, but at least he had a lot of emotional moments that showed he was human which is why I could get behind him. Elliot on the other hand is always an obnoxious hothead. And if it weren't enough he treats people suspected of rape/murder like crap and doesn't apologize when they're found innocent before they find the real culprit, he's a neglectful father too.
I'm not certain if his recent exit off the show was because of Chris Meloni not wanting to renew his contract, or if they realized how much Stabler's presence was holding them back, but its nice to know they wised up and got rid of him even if I don't watch it anymore.
Ironically, I have seen a preview for a show on FOX this fall where Chris Meloni plays a grumpy dad, and I found his character to be utterly hilarious and likeable so I'm planning to check it out when it comes out.

Sailor Moon. She is just ANNOYING AS CRAP, and yet always overcomes the odds after all her friends are dead.
She's the John Cena of anime.

When Dragon Ball Z comes around, it takes twenty goddamned episodes to throw a punch. I completely gave up on that show.

I remember as a kid Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon were what got me into anime. a few years back I tried watching DBZ again, and outside of the hilarious abridged series it really doesn't hold up, largely because of all the padding. I've heard good things about DBZ Kai though. they should do the same thing with Bleach, great show pulled down by way too much boring filler and padded out fights (though I hear the manga is even worse about the second one).

As a little kid, I remember Krillin charging up some Spirit Ball or something, that held the hopes and dreams of the people of the planet, for several episodes. After all that charging he shoots it... and misses. Even as a kid, I said that was bullshit.

I don't remember her name, but the main girl from Coyote Ugly. She is a selfish cow who treats everyone like crap. She only wins in the end, because everyone else does all the work.
My sister watched Glee and none of them were likable. The guys were all pathetic douches.
Homer Simpson seems to get worse and worse.
I like Leonard, but admit Sheldon would suck to be around in real life.
As for games
FF7: Barrett, Yuffie, Cat Sith and Cid suck hard. I only use them when I have to.
FF8: All except Selphie....but she doesn't do anything after falling off a ledge.
FF9: Zidane is just a d***, same with Steiner.

Snape was a dick at times but, I couldn't help but sympathise with him solely because James Potter was a bigger dick yet got away with it. He was an arrogant, bullying, cocky little toerag who was seemingly loved by everyone and targeted Snape just because he was a Slytherin and was poor. I couldn't stand James Potter. James was a douche, but he had the excuse of being a teenager. Snape was far worse and got both James and Lily killed, then made their son's life a misery for the most part. JK Rowling tried to shoehorn a face turn into the series by having Snape praised after his death and even going as far as naming one of Harry's kids after him. To be totally honest, I think some judgement on James Potter is unfair. We never get to hear his side of things from his own mouth. Everything we learn about him is from someone else's point of view...mostly Snape himself, who hated James. I dunno, but I always felt there was something more to it...something more deep for the reasons why James treated Snape the way he did. Besides that, I always got this impression that James changed for the better at some point...otherwise how could Lilly fall in love with him and marry him? They seemed to even have a pretty happy marriage, but again, that was the view of outsiders looking in.
