It is pretty sad how awful she is for as long as she's been doing it. And hell, the "she's hot" thing doesn't even hold water to the extent that it ever would given there are much hotter women on the roster. Her being the 'ass chick' when you've got Tessmacher there is laughable. The fact that Tessmacher has been the "ass chick" when they still had Sarita on the roster is laughable.  But yeah, Velvet is really, really bad. Not Jenna Morasca bad, but I think these threads crop up so much because of how prominent she's been for so long in spite of contributing so little to the roster. She's dead weight when she wrestles, and can't have a meaningful feud or program with anybody as a direct result. That, and she's taking the spotlight from far better talents. That's as much on her as her dubious abilities. |

Velvet selling her knee injury right before Mickie clipped her last night was hysterical. She waits about 5-10 seconds before realizing she has to sell the injury and then starts hamming it up out of no where.
She is very bad.

Are you serious 0-0 Brooke Tessmacher has the best ass in like EXISTENCE and way better than Sara Stock's. Honestly I don't even remember Sarita's butt all that much. Then again I never found her all that attractive in general. Her face is odd to me. Sorry for the off topicness but I'm astounded right now. |

This thread happens a lot not just because of how bad she is, but because she is featured so prominently. She's a 2 time Knockouts champion, when even once would have been too much. If she was featured as much as Taryn then this might not happen, but with her being front and center, combined with how long she's been wrestling, it's right to bring this up often.

I've always described her wrestling as if she were in slow motion underwater. At this point I'm not sure if she's ever showed any improvement since she debuted for TNA.

Velvet's probably one of the worst wrestlers ever. But she's still really popular, and sex sells (hell, even I like seeing her ass in those short skirts). So I'm guessing she won't be depushed anytime soon. But it's like Bryan Alvarez said on last night's Bryan & Vinny show. Maybe she never improves because she's so pretty, that the male wrestlers just tell her "great job", no matter how shitty she is in the ring. So she never tries to improve. I think it's Brooke's jawline that makes her come off as a bit masculine. |

She definitely has regressed. I remember seeing indie matches of hers from years ago that were stronger showcases than what she does now. Hell, even in TNA she's had better matches. Admittedly, most of them were some type of tag match to help cover for her.
But I do think she's regressed, and I think part of the problem is likely her boob job. She's been progressively slowing down ever since she got it done.

The announcers did a better job selling Velvet's "injury" than she did. Couldn't help but facepalm watching her suddenly remember she has to stop running around the ring like nothing's wrong and actually sell. At one point I was like, "Who does she think she is, John Cena?".
She's awful and really could use some time in OVW to work on her skills, but since TNA overpushes her that won't happen.

I actually think Velvet's pretty attractive, when she doesn't look like she just got shot with a double-barreled makeup gun. Doesn't change the fact she can't wrestle worth shit, though. Barring Rosa, I think she's legit the worst wrestler in mainstream womens' wrestling right now. |
