I think that's ultimately the deal with Velvet. Her being bad is one thing but the problem becomes when her wretched ring skills drag down everyone else. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she didn't work out.
Although, I don't see what her attractiveness has anything to do with her being in the ring when at the end of the day she's still dead weight. And using transsexual as a slur? Wow. Stay classy guys.

I don't think she's so bad. When motivated she can put on a good match with anyone on the roster.

I wount name the site but I find is hysterical, and a facepalm moment, that all these Velvet apologist are saying "poor Velvet, she needs time off for her injuries". "Poor Velvet, hope she heals and win back the belt" "Its really tough to keep up with Mickie with a knee injury". Yep, and she was walking around fine in a convention with Angelina Love couple of weeks ago, and even B actress in a shot on video film can sell a injury better than she did on Thursday. I tell ya, someone needs to tell her what Kayfave is.

You had people who explained rational reasons why didn't like Velvet and the counter argument was "SHUT UP!! U R JEALOUS!!". For a place that suppose to be about serious women wrestling, most of the regular commenters are just horny fanboys like everywhere else. I tell ya, someone needs to tell her what Kayfave is. Velvet is not the first, nor will she be the last female to wrestle with implants. She should have learn to work with them. If they are that restricting, she shouldn't have gone up in size. |

Velvet is one of those people that have been around for a while and Dixie is really loyal to and her faults are overlooked. Same goes for Jeff Hardy(how he wasn't fired after VR is beyond my comprehension), Sting(at least he's a legend I guess), Russo(when he was around)and I'm sure that there are others that I'm forgetting.

For what it's worth I don't think Velvet isn't as bad as people are saying. I've known her for the quite a while and she's ALWAYS been a great person outside of the ring. Everytime I've worked with her she's been exceptionally nice to fans during meet and greet and after the show. Admittedly many of the "divas" and "KOs" are very nice to work with, but she's always been great to me before, during, and after shows.
Also, I agree her wrestling work isn't the greatest, but the live shows I've worked with her (10+), she ALWAYS gets the crowd going. I've watched "good" wrestlers work with the crowd sitting in silence.
I totally get that watching her on TV she looks like a "bad" wrestler. However, she possesses a lot of intangibles that make her better than some people give her credit for.

Here is some proof of Velvet's general kindness. A local wrestle named Ron Zombie blew his knee out during a show at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. She went out of her way to make it up to CT to work a benefit show held on his behalf. Here is a cell video she sent over to be posted.
Not the best worker, but a pretty good person in real life.

Which is completely irrelevant to this conversation about Velvet's poor wrestling skills. I don't really care if she's nice, the fact is tat she isn't talented enough in the ring to be in the position she is in. 1. She forgets spots and gets lost in the ring. 2. She forgets to sell 3. She admits that she doesn't work out, because of this she is slow moving around the ring, and gets gassed easily. 4. She can't take moves that require her to do any lifting, which makes her opponents have limit their movesets. Which is really pathetic as even Summer Rae who has been wrestling for only one year can take basic lucha moves. |
