What horrific lack of foresight.

2 of the 3 years this thing has gone on have been a disaster. I thought they righted the wrongs last year, but wow this is even worse.

LMAO, what a train wreck. Admittedly, I had lost interest in the BFG series but considering how well they did it last year, this is really poor planning.

Yeah, it's blatantly obvious looking at the Round Robin charts that I've been doing that they needed to be running this thing at a way faster pace.
Edit: And they aren't even going to ensure that everyone has the same amount of matches. For example, Joseph Park will only get four matches, while most of the roster will finish with up to six or seven.

They should've had more of them at house shows & I know that having no ppvs between Slammiversary & BFG kinda hurt it, as they had less time to do it in. It's not as bad as the 2011 version, which was much more of a clusterf***, but they should've planned it better.

They had less than half of the scheduled matches for the BFG series. Were they expecting there to be a month between August and September or were they going to have 34 matches at that one house show where 16 people weren't allowed to wrestle.

That is pretty bad. The BFG Series last year was so well booked that I was looking forward to it this year. It fell way flat, between the lack of main eventers (Angle and Storm should have been in it), the high "interference" rate on the matches, and obviously the lack of planning. Not nearly as bad as 2011, when Gunner had about 100 matches and Scott Steiner had 10, but still disappointing given how good last year was. The Aces and Eights stuff really has been a huge drag for TNA. I can't wait until BFG when it (hopefully) ends.
With that said, as long as they have their planned Final Four, then I guess it is better to just get it over with. BFG is only a month and a half away.

They just haven't been running enough matches on Impact. Last year, they did multiple Open Fight Nights where all of the guys wrestled. This year, they only did a couple shows where all the BFG Series guys had a match.

I'm starting to think that maybe 12 people is too much. Maybe do 8 next year.

A great concept gets pushed aside for this lame storyline.

Bobby Roode vs. Christopher Daniels, Bobby Roode vs. Kazarian, Samoa Joe vs. Magnus. It's like they don't want the Series to get in the way of their stable warfare.

If Hardy/Magnus, Styles/Roode, Aries/Daniels, and Kazarian/Hernandez are the last matches in the Series, then what's the Final Four looking like? Everything is so jumbled up at the top, that the guys who are not wrestling are pretty much out of it (Joe, Anderson) and the guys who lose their matches on Thursday are pretty much done (Styles has to beat Roode, probably by submission, Hardy would have to beat Magnus, Aries has to beat Daniels to avoid slipping, etc).
Magnus and Styles are the only legitimate options to face Bully based on current storylines (I doubt they have Hardy win twice in a row and they have done Hardy/Bully so many times since Lockdown).

I think everyone who has a match can still make the Top 4, and with the DQ rule in effect, anyone can miss out.

I just looked at the matches again. f***ing Hernandez gets a chance to make the final four but Joe doesn't?! Blasphemy!

True but he still has a chance to get points while Joe doesn't. They haven't even done Joe/Kazarian yet so they could easily put him that slot.
