Bound For Glory...just pathetic. Aside from an anti-climatic finish, Bobby Roooo vs. Kurt Angle was good. Everything else was awful. The main event threw away so much logic it made me facepalm on the inside and outside.
Brooke's ass was/is a highlight for me.

I feel like I'm filling in a form for grievance counselling right now, but what the Hell, from best to worst:
1. Robert Roode vs Kurt Angle - 7/10, great until the bizarre ending. I won't go into the "don't use legitimate injuries or concerns to put over a story" but I will go into "when Kurt cut a fecking promo saying HE'S BACK TO PROVE HIMSELF IN THE FANS EYES, and loses to his own move then it's stupid." Still, before that blunder it was a GREAT match.
2. Gunner & Storm vs The Broman Empire - 6/10 - Fun, nice pace, good intensity, great showing, surprising dropping of the belts to the Broman Empire. And some guy who was with them who looked like a young more unstable Tony Atlas. Again though just wasn't a PPV quality match. A solid fun TV one maybe.
3 - Knockouts match - 5/10 - Almost a 6. Some confusing slow moments, excellent POUNCE! from Brooke, no idea who the tall strong woman was who helped Gail win. Interesting, not bad, but just not enough going on to warrant a "good."
4. Bully Ray vs AJ Styles - 4/10 - Barely better than the matches below, some cool spots, but inconsistent logic, the story told in ring made no sense, Hebner 2 count scumbaggery made me feel like Bret Hart in 1997, and just...wow. Not good. Bully & AJ have had good matches together but this felt like a worse ending than Dallas.
5. Ultimate X - 4/10 - I simply gave no f***s. No idea why it was happening. Don't have a clue why Sabin is a heel, if he is one he sucks as it. Joe/Hardy should have won, simply because I care about them as a fan.
6. Magnus vs Sting - 3/10. Actually a bit of a downer. I'm a HUGE Sting fan, and I like Magnus and have done for years but...I've not followed TNA for a few months as I got tired of it, and Magnus being in a big feud with Sting only to have a craptacular match...what's the point?
7. Ethan Carter III vs Corpse Sternum - No rating - I get it. I just don't care. I like Bateman, but he's...well I don't know. I know this is a justifiable case of "wait and see" as it's a heel debut but eh, on the BIGGEST SHOW OF THE YEAR? Seriously? Go and pull the other one, fellows.
2 outright bad matches. 3 middling sort of acceptable (for TV) matches. 1 fun tag match. 1 good match with a shitty ending.
To be honest if the matches didn't have absurdly crap endings every time (bar the KOs/Tag) then I'd not be so down on it but when wrestling is about plot progression...wow...man did they balls it up.

What were people's main issues with the show. The biggest piss off of the show was a potential Magnus heel turn. Dixie was bad but tolerable. What were the main issues with the show, besides "it sucked". If you can look at this thread and not see why people feel f***ing ripped off, I am amazed.

Good LORD. I actually came in here because I forgot BFG was this week, expecting to see commentary on a show that was at least okay and that maybe I'd check out at some point.
Like...I feel bad. I feel bad for some of y'all, man. Really, I'm laughing at some of the comments and now mental image of glassy-eyed Mike Tenay just...walking away from all the things in despair.
Wow, man.

To be fair, I watched the show instead of watching the board for most of the show and only came into the board around the 59th page or so. And there's another reason I want to say as to why I'm not too disappointed in the show, but well, I can't really say it here.

I want to hear Jim Cornette's review of the show.
Hell I want to be in the room while he watches the show.

This was a 7 match show, over 3 hours. One was a squash match. So there was so much filler. The main event was so badly done it was ridiculous, I was sitting with my mouth agape the whole time wondering if I was having a weird dream. Sting vs. Magnus wasn't worth a damn, both guys came out worse for wear. The Ultimate X was short and they barely even used the gimmick of the match, then Sabin wins by climbing 4 feet up a ladder. The freaking Bro-Mens got on the PPV and won tag gold, while Bad Influence got destroyed by Abyss.
The ONLY thing worth it on the show was Roode/Angle, and that match was really great. Usually a show with that good a match will get a thumbs up from me. But everything else was so badly done, and the atmosphere was so down in the dumps, that it still managed to be one of the worst PPVs I've ever watched.

Honestly my thoughts (And they're a bit long so please forgive me)
1. The start with the Ultimate X should of been great. Lots of high spots, lots of time with Hardy being there for the star power for the casuals. Have Sabin win without the use of a ladder and without furthering the Velvet story line. You can further the Velvet stuff on TV very easily next week.
2. Bromans never should of gone over in the pre show. It should of been Bad Influence/Eric and Parks as your final two. Have Bad Influence take out Parks and have Abyss come back in the tag title match. EY and Abyss win and you can run a story line with Eric being forced to find Abyss.
3. The Mr Olympia thing I was initially for. Involving a celebrity with wrestling is smart because more fans might give you a look. They used him incorrectly though. I'd of used him in a comedy arm wrestle segment or something and then maybe a 60 second interview from his seat where he puts someone over (Physique wise)
4. The women's roster is so thin that nothing is fresh. I don't care about anyone involved, I don't care that Tapa helped Gail Kim win and I don't care if ODB is going to get her revenge. I would have Velvet win the Knockouts Title and just very rarely defend it. Basically kill off this division
5. The PPV was so bad I'm struggling to remember what was next. The Hall Of Fame ceremony I think. They need to treat that like a respectable Hall Of Fame or just not bother. This segment along with the Abyss returns segment should of been done on Impact. Anyway, them turning their Hall Of Fame ceremony into an angle isn't good and makes it look like a joke. It also makes no sense because if Kurt didn't want to be there why would he accept the honor months ago (I may be missing something, I went for Lunch at this point)
6. Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle had match of the night and really it was quite good. Not a classic but it was good. Kurt's worked injury angle at the end again is something that could of been done on Impact. We don't need a 5 minute stretcher scene on the biggest show of the year. Then he randomly gets off it and walks away. No point except to waste time.
7. Ethan debuts against a complete jobber. Again, this is something that could of been done on Impact. Tonight you should of had Dixie come out, introduce this guy and have him cut a very small promo about how he is Team Dixie etc etc. The fact some random indy guy made a Bound For Glory appearance is RIDICULOUS
8. Magnus and Sting. Sting shouldn't be wrestling high up matches anymore. I love the dude and feel he should still wrestle but he has to go into a tag team or work with the midcard guys. This match was about 2 stars maybe a little more but for your semi main event of the evening you want way better then that. The right man won but they're now teasing a heel turn which is silly. A big hug at the end and a Magnus/Sting tag team would of been fantastic
9. The main event was fun but this should of been a straight 1 on 1. I see what they were trying to do with the Aces and Eights guys but AJ has already overcome the odds. He doesn't need to overcome Garrett, Knux and Dixie Carter to win the belt. He already has sympathy and the audience behind him.
10. All in all a bad Pay Per View. Slammiversary was a lot better. I'd give this a 4/10 because we got a couple of decent matches out of this but TNA definitely has A LOT of work to do. I don't even want to watch Impact after this mess.

This show...makes you really believe that this company is dying. With all the good this company ever does they somehow screw it up. It's sad.

Clearly they need to hire Russo! If nothing else, then the main event would have had more in the way of shenanigans, which would have benefited it a lot.

I thought the show was mediocre.
I liked Roode/Angle (and the finish too). I enjoyed the Tag Title match and BroMans upset. AJ/Bully was...unique. I don't wanna call it good but I didn't think it was bad. For the Main Event of the biggest show of the year, I wouldn't have gone experimental though. EC3 and PPA (Norv!) was what it was supposed to be. Women's match was there. Not a plus or a minus. Magnus/Sting was a Sting match in 2013. Yup, no good.
Didn't catch Ultimate X.
So yeah, underwhelming but I've felt way more ripped off by a PPV.

Didn't watch the ppv but read every comment. The main thing I am taking away from this is that every title changed hands. I don't think I've ever seen a ppv where that happened. So I sort of wish I had watched it now.

It just amazes me that 2, 3 months ago I wanted to see this show over everything else in the wrestling world, then the AJ turned into CM Styles, Dixie is doing the worst Vince McMahon impersonation I've ever seen and all the good will and hype went away to the point I was struggling to decide whether to buy it or not the hour before the show. Now following the show, I am actually pissed off at this company for tricking me into getting it.

Also quick question, out of all the good wrestlers in the California area you pick Peter Avalon to be on your biggest show of the year? Hell why not bring in Sharky and have a nostalgia pop instead of giving someone whose only claim in wrestling is that he's mates with Joey Rayn a spot on your biggest show of the year.

I think they just wanted to do it for storyline purposes. I was thinking Shark Boy would come back as well, which would be nice. But I'm gonna get Peter Avalon some credit. He was great in his role and I felt that he should stay on the roster. It was a lot like with how MVP debuted in WWE on pay per view. The logic is, this guy is saying he's this big deal, and he debuts against this jobber. So that's how I saw the match.

I say this without having seen any of this show, but maybe the quality of this as TNA's biggest show of the year will have people appreciate even lesser wrestlemanias more.

Talked to a buddy of mine who was there. My suspicions were confirmed. They were showing "Requiem For a Dream" in between matches on the big screen. It explains why the crowd seemed so depressed by the end. They were at the amputation scene right before the main event entrances.
