Nope. THE c-word. The naughty one, that he likes to use a lot very casually in his scripts as an insult to men and women alike.

f*** Mark Millar Aside from Red Son he's a terrible writer. Old Man Logan was good. Jupiter's Legacy has been pretty good in its two issues.

Read Superior Foes. Pretty funny read. I agree. I loved the first issue, haven't got the second one yet because my LCS got shorted on their order. Hopefully it will be in my folder tomorrow.

Really? .....this is news to me. honestly, if we're going to skewer Millar for his use of the word we'd have to go after Garth Ennis, Warren Ellis and tonnes of other British/Irish/Scottish writers too. and they're all much better than Millar.

Just to put it out there ... Quantum and Woody - such a great book. That and Archer & Armstrong make Valiant's re-birth worth it for me.

Exactly, it's not that he uses a word, it's that he's a bad writer. Plus at least one one level you should tailor your writing to the audience. It's one thing being in a pub, your mate pulls a prank so you laugh and call him a c*** a few times. Going to America, knowing what a big deal the word is, I would try to avoid it.

I just emphasize his overuse of it because, outside the shock value, there's little to any of his scripts. Ennis and Ellis could write a masterpiece with no hands or eyes and a parasite feeding off their brain matter, so they can use it all they want.

Image's November solicitations look pretty cool. Lots of new stuff coming from them. My wallet won't be happy.
It was also reported that Matt Fraction is going to be leaving Fantastic Four and FF to do Inhumans. I'm glad he's doing Inhumans, but FF has been awesome. I'll miss him on that.

Speaking of Mark Millar and his favorite word, his comics magazine CLiNT (yes, the magazine name is supposed to remind you of that word) has been cancelled after constant delays and low sales. ......cancelled on the same day KICK ASS 2 opens in the UK, no less. www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=47315

Weird that he's leaving the FF books to do the Inhumans event and series. Of all the books to leave, it's the ones that are most closely associated with the Inhumans. Though I guess his focus, whether he stayed or not, was in the same place of the Marvel Universe...

After having read his work on Superman's origin and the New 52 Justice League, I have to ask, has Geoff Johns written anything that was actually good? I've heard he did good stuff on Green Lantern but it's never been a series I've been interested in that much and the stuff I've read on him so far just makes me want to avoid anything he's been involved in.
