Then they should just let Punk win the IC Title. Sure the belt may seem like a step down, but imo the worst thing that can happen to Punk is for him to become another Sheamus, Ziggler, Show, Kane, etc. directionless, interchangeable uppercarder who has random matches just for the sake of being too big to leave off the show. Defending the IC Title in decent feuds might've been able to save him from that fate. They probably want to protect Axel. Punk can stay relevant, Curtis on the other hand. But it doesn't protect Axel. Making the match non-title just allows Punk to beat Axel decisively without actually winning the belt, which makes Axel look even weaker and diminishes the title.

Guess we should expect some shenanigans to protect both guys. WWE creative sure love DQ finishes, or maybe a new Paul Heyman guy?

Maybe Punk will cost Axel the belt in the next week or so, and it'll be Miz vs Fandango for it? It seems crazy that they'd undermine the whole premise of the PPV.

Punk could challenge for the IC Title in a no DQ match and lose after being attacked by a new Heyman guy...

Make it so to win the IC title Punk must pin or submit both Heyman and Axel and then one or both falls can end in DQ

Doesn't seem to be intense enough for Orton/Bryan.

I'm starting to feel like Bryan's going to win the title. This storyline's just too one-sided, and they're going to need a big stage to have the roster snap; it wouldn't surprise me too much at this point if Bryan won the title and the storyline became about him being killed every week (y'know, like it already is) but being unable to be beaten with the title on the line.
Either way, there's little chance the Orton / Bryan match is going to be anything but an overbooked mess.

I'm guessing Bryan "wins" after a ref bump and has the title stripped and given back to Orton on RAW. That or they go with the WCW Classic of having him tap out Orton while Orton's foot is under the ropes.

I'm still going with the old Corporation move of pulling the ref out while he's making the 3 and punching him out, having a stooge ref run in, multiple rule changes mid-match, and it finally ends with a screwjob submission probably to Bryan's own hold for max outrage.

I'm guessing a retaining of the title for Orton but also Show finally snapping on the Corporation; the first sign the roster is finally starting to rebel.

Orton wins via shenanigans, the ref realizes it and restarts the match, and Bryan winds up winning with a quick roll-up or something. The next night, Trips and Co will force the ref to reverse the decision, giving the title back to Orton, and then fire the ref to add to the whole "tension" aspect.

I see Orton retaining after multiple interferences by the Corporation and their stooges. However, the roster finally rebels at the end and comes out to help Bryan destroy the corporation.

Orton retains after Corporate shenanigans. But, to help set up the post-NoC Raw, the show ends with the roster (again, being forced to watch on Hunner's orders) finally having enough and revolting. Maybe, Big Show finally turns on H and KOs him, too. The show would end with utter chaos, as everyone's brawling when the PPV fades to black.

It's the revised Benoit/Sid finish after Benoit won the World title and went to the WWF the day after.

Is a Big Show heel turn too predictable at this point? Because I think that is the likeliest outcome.
