Here's my recap/analysis: www.rickey.org/survivor-blood-vs-water-episode-11-recap-results-gloves-come/In short, I felt splitting up Caleb and Hayden made sense, even if I have no idea why they chose Caleb instead of the more physical Hayden, but I guess it was a formality to Tyson to trust Ciera. Although she doesn’t exactly come across as the most trustworthy person in the world, Ciera has pledged far more to Tyson than either Hayden or Caleb, and arguably has a lot more to offer as a “goat” at the end, as I can’t imagine Ciera getting any votes from the jury. She’ll be seen as having ridden coattails to get there, and whether or not that’s true, she’ll be treated like it is. Ultimately, I think Ciera torpedoed her best shot at putting herself in a winning position by choosing to side with Tyson instead of going with Hayden and Caleb. They could have blindsided Tyson if they would have lulled him into a false sense of security. It would have had the added benefit of eliminating a huge challenge threat, and flushing out the idol at the same time (granted, they don’t know about the idol, but Ciera shouldn’t have needed to know about the idol to recognize how big of a threat Tyson is). It’s looking like a pretty easy journey to the end for Tyson, although he’s no longer protected by the idol, so all it takes is one of either Gervase or Monica flipping to do him in. The question is whether that’s something either would be willing to do.

I've been busy these last few wednesdays, so I haven't been able to keep up with the thread. My thoughts 1) Ciera should have went with Caleb and Hayden. She would have a far better chance. However she does show that she thinks and isn' a cotail rider imo. 2) Tyson needs to cool down on his arrogance. He isn't "Hantzing" but he is in good shape to make the finals. Don't cause the jury that already may include the proven to be bitter Tina and Laura M a former member of bitter Galu. No need for him to act like he did while eating 3) Monica is impresssive on the challenge front. Maybe this could help her move away as the goat 4) I find Laura helping Tina at RI to be total bush league. I find it disrespectful 5) in a "eat or compete challenge" I don't know why people chose to eat. A) With such history of blindsides you are never safe without immunity. B) It can be insulting to your bottom alliance memebers and the minority, thus causing bitterness come jury time ........... I saw a CBS preview for next week. If i can find it, I'll post a link. DO NOT CLICK BELOW if you don't want to be MAJORILY Spoiled for Wednesday {Spoiler}{Spoiler}1)Caleb loses the duel as he is seen at tribal sitting next to Aras/Vytas looking clean. as their jaws drop because at tribal......
2) The purple rock tiebreaker returns

In retrospect I'm thinking Ciera made a good move telling Tyson about the blindside attempt. He had just enough information from both sides of the flip to be uncertain enough to need to use his idol (instead of getting blindsided with it in his pocket, similar in embarrassment to him voting himself out in a past season) so no way was he going to not play his idol once Ciera put him on the alert.
Assuming Ciera actually did flip against Tyson, the fact that she doesn't do well with lying to people to their face (Caleb and Hayden read everything on her face when she double-flipped) would've given Tyson the info he needed to still play the idol, and in that case it would've been Ciera going home for betraying Tyson (which wouldn't have made much game sense since she already stabbed Mommy Laura in the back to be able to play in Tyson's alliance in the first place).
Her only correct move was staying loyal to Tyson, so that he won't feel threatened taking her to the end with him, and her argument for Final Jury is that she made the hardest decision all game to vote out Laura and protect the biggest threat in the game Tyson from a blindside in order to prove her integrity. It would be a very compelling argument at this point, and as of now Tina and Laura are both probably voting for Ciera, Vytas and Aras are probably leaning towards anybody-but-Tyson so Ciera is not as out-gunned bringing Tyson with her as many would think.

It's true. Sad story all around. www.rickey.org/tina-wesson-son-dead-25-survivor-blood-vs-water/I'd say they should skip the reunion, but I'm not sure if their contract would allow them to. Also, they're both still in the game (technically, in Tina's case), so they very well could be one of the final three. At the very least, I'd argue Katie has an outside shot to be there. I don't think she'd win, but she could feasibly get to the end. And in that event, she'd be integral to the reunion. All in all, just a terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with Tina and her family.

Caleb wasn't straight enough to win.

"We're both guys." had me rolling.
Also, my irrational hatred for Ciera and Laura continues to burn deep.

@eorlins 3m Did you not see the camera pan directly to where the idol was? Do you think that Tyson DIDN'T see that? He's played 3x!
TO BE FAIR, the camera panned with Hayden, too.

Hayden's blowing the spot up. Guy's way more of a gamer than I thought he was during Big Brother.

Mannnnnnnnnnnn. I like Tyson a ton, but I can't tell you how much I wanted him to get the white rock right there. He and Gervase are too damn confident, and Monica is playing an excellent third place game.
Incredible suspense though.

Tyson is slowly but surely losing jury votes. Why did he have to say that to Katie? Gotta bite your tongue sometimes

Ciera's whole I'M #4, DON'T BULLSHIT ME line redeemed her after awful gameplay from last episode in my eyes.
I'm back on the Ciera train, but at this point, there's no WAY Gervase/Monica/Tyson turn on each other after what just happened, so Hayden or Ciera had better win immunity at final 4.
EDIT: F*** ME I forgot all about Redemption Island so WHO KNOWS how this plays out.

fw is right, Tyson is starting to do what I commended him for not doing all season long. He's getting cocky and starting to do a little too much talking.
Monica is just sitting there in the wings. If she won this game it would be a nightmare for me.

AMAZING episode. Here's my recap/analysis: www.rickey.org/survivor-blood-vs-water-episode-12-recap-results-rustle-feathers/It's kind of a shame Ciera waited so long to make a move, since now would have been the time to blindside Tyson, and if Ciera had been open to Hayden's plan back at camp, Gervase might have been able to be talked into it. I genuinely believe it was the lack of wider support for Hayden's plan that dissuaded Gervase from seriously considering it. Perhaps if Hayden had suggested lopping off Monica instead of Gervase's "left hand man," he'd have been more open to the move, but it was always going to be a tough sell regardless. Of course, there's the problem that Gervase likely does believe he can beat Tyson at the end, and his ego demands that he face and defeat a big name Survivor player, so I suppose he was never seriously going to vote against Tyson one way or the other, since Gervase doesn't just want to win -- he wants to win big. EDIT: Kat just favorited my review on Twitter for some reason! I didn't tweet it to her or anything, and I don't know that I was overly glowing to Hayden, but whatever, I'll take it.

If she won this game it would be a nightmare for me. monica can play the "challenge dominator" card if she picks up a couple more wins. Based on edit, my money is still on Tyson. But, I think Hayden is the only "lock" if he makes final tribal

So yeah, Ciera completely screwed herself over tonight. I'm not seeing any way she can rebound now, even if Monica does flip(and seeing how the last two weeks' previews played out, she won't)
Question: Did they show a screen for Tina's son? I didn't know about it at the time, so I wasn't watching for it.

I agree that that episode was amazing, especially the Tribal Council. Incidentally, "Russell Feathers" sounds like someone that would soon debut in NXT. Maybe even a diva, wouldn't be the first time a woman got a man's first name in wrestling.
