I dunno, inducting The Poffos all in at once is like Ric asking for them to be inducted with his family as The Flair family if Flair wasn't in the HOF and passed away before he got the chance. If Hogan ask the same of the Hogan Family if Hulk wasn't in the HOF and passed before he got the chance. Yes Flair and Hogan would be in, but then basically that means Nick and Brooke and Horace Hogan and David and Reid Flair are in the HOF. It's just like, they weren't The Flair Family or The Hogan Family, or The Hart Family. They not the Von Erichs, which were very sad circumstance, either. Dude is a headliner, and his brother and his father shouldn't be "headlining" with him.
But let's play ball for a minute. What if they could put Lanny and his dad in as a dual induction and have Randy headline. That way, they still all go in together.

Except Koko and Hacksaw were over more than Lanny ever was in his wildest dreams.

here's how important Lanny Poffo was. at the Survivor Series in 1988 when they needed a replacement for B. Brian Blair they chose Scott Casey instead of him.

Put them all in, what's it to you? Let's not pretend they will get equal time. They'll say nice words about Lanny and Angelo, and then move onto a long, long speech for Randy and depending on what the dynamic is, Elizabeth as well.
Just do it. It's not for us, it's for the wrestlers.

No, they're going to do this anyway. Having the fans at the Hall of Fame inductions has been nothing but horrIble. Security never enforces the dress codes or any sense of decorum, allowing the mouth-breathers to ruin whatever they want unchecked. I went to the Hall of Fame this year. I was under the impression there was a dress code, so I dressed accordingly. Also, before the show, Michael Cole said any inappropriate comments would result in people being removed from the arena.. Then Maria Menounos happened and as far as I know, no one was kicked out over the "boring" chants. You said inappropriate...

Also remember that Lanny, like Koko was a regional territory star (who did hold championship gold) who was put in the role of jobber when he started with the WWF. The Genius was a memorable enough character that it was recycled by Damien Sandow. You have the likes of Drew Carey, Pete Rose and Donald Trump in there and they can't make rom for the Poffos? Was Randy that much of a pain in the ass to Vince that Randy's wishes can't be honored?

You're there honoring the achievements of "Legends" and generally anyone doing the inducting is either picked or approved by the inductee. ANY negative comments are inappropriate at that point.

translation: WAAAH I'm not ever getting in even though I never really deserved it anyway. Doesn't sound that way. I think Lanny's more pissed that his brother or even his family as a whole aren't in there. Sounds similar to how I view my family. Disrespect them and you disrespect me. Besides, it's more humble to give credit to those who deserve it before yourself.

Except that neither the Flair nor Hogan families had a promoter as a head. In that case, Angelo and Randy should definitely be in there. But, because Lanny put up with so much shit and wasn't given the chance to really shine, he deserves it. He is literally The Genius ( ) of the Poffo family.

Why do people constantly bring up Pete Rose, Drew Carey and other celebrities, as if they're wrestlers? They are in as celebrities, specifically Wrestlemania entertainers, not wrestlers. WWE always mentions that. It's not like they are being passed off as wrestlers.
It's like broadcasters being in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are not there as players, but broadcasters.

I agree with the guys saying that the shouldn't be any reason why the WWE can't just induct the Poffos in as a unit per Randy's wishes. I just worry that it will look so... incongruous during the ceremony. So I agree, couldn't they induct Randy separately and then also induct Lanny and Angelo that night? Wouldn't that fit Randy's wishes? Seems like the best scenario to me.

You said inappropriate... You're there honoring the achievements of "Legends" and generally anyone doing the inducting is either picked or approved by the inductee. ANY negative comments are inappropriate at that point. Totally. No matter how you feel about the presenter you should be respectful. And besides Maria is a legitimate wrestling fan who has shown nothing but dedication and passion in all her celebrity appearances. So I don't even understand how it would be "appropriate" from that angle either. Personally I'm a huge fan of her involvement in wrestling.

If WWE wants to induct Savage, they can go to his widow. But you just know Lanny will be giving negative interviews if that happened and some news company will pick up on it thinking it's worth the attention. Also with Savage's widow, I just fear the WWE Universe chanting Elizabeth at her unless Elizabeth gets inducted earlier that night. If Lanny was there, I think the risk of that would diminish. No, they're going to do this anyway. Having the fans at the Hall of Fame inductions has been nothing but horrIble. Security never enforces the dress codes or any sense of decorum, allowing the mouth-breathers to ruin whatever they want unchecked. To be fair, these "mouth-breathers" were likely fans that counted where the WWE needed fans the most. As someone who both reviles and embraces the 1990s at the same time, that period of time is never easy to understand, no matter how old you are. I didn't watch WCW from May-August 1999. My fondest memories of the WWF all originated in my senior year of high school (1999). The invasion blew my mind. Bret-Benoit (as evil as he is) is what closed off 1999 for me. I didn't have time to pay attention. During my senior trip in June, it was the "Higher Power" angle with Vinnie Mac. Wrestling defined my year pretty well but I hate 2001 in general. Worst year that I can remember.

If this means Randy Savage is going in then great.
It's just ashame this couldn't have been done back when he was still alive.
