Unbelievably bad. Blatantly copying WWE, and doing a piss poor job. If things keep going this way TNA is screwed, I can't watch many more shows like this one. I'm starting to feel dumb for watching.

I'm anxious for Hogan to get involved to really immerse us in the storyline by assuring us "this isn't some storyline".

I just want to leave this note from PWInsider earlier today on what people in TNA thought of this:

I just want to leave this note from PWInsider earlier today on what people in TNA thought of this: TBF, it was the best thing she's done on camera. That's because everything else she has done has been so awful.

This made her Claire Lynch acting seem Oscar winning, nothing like aping Chikara, and WWE

Was anyone really wondering where Jerry Lynn and Low-Ki went? They showed up like once a year for Destination X for years it seemed.

those little kids in the front row in Sting makeup really seemed to care about the whereabouts of Jerry Lynn, Low Ki and the rest

Oh brother, where to begin? After tonight I feel like I am watching a crap wrestling company (which AJ illustrated oh so well) featuring a #1 contender that is washed up and past his prime (which Dixie illustrated fairly well). I don't see the upside in any of this. For the longest time I felt at least TNA wasn't self aware of their own suckage like WCW got in 2000. Well, now I can't say that anymore.
The thing that is goofy is that after AJ's very personal and mean spirited promo I don't even blame Dixie for skewering him. Good grief, TNA was a weekly PPV company about to go under if not for the Carter family buying it. I don't even know who the heel or face is in any of this, but I do know this doesn't make me want to see AJ vs. Bully at BFG one iota.

It's impossible to buy AJ and Dixie in these roles. When I heard about this segment last week, I was totally not expecting it to be any good because it was obviously going to be a blatant rip off of the Punk-Vince confrontation and AJ and Dixie aren't in the same league promo-wise so they had no hope of it matching that.
Bound For Glory is a month away. Tonight should have been the start of AJ vs. Bully. Instead this only set up AJ vs. Dixie and that's not a feud we need to be seeing right now.

They're building more to Bully v. Aces and Eights and Aj v. Dixie. The whole BFG main event is completely meaningless.

Reading the last part of this thread has me a) cracking up and b) a lil sad that I'm gonna take my nephew to his first wrestling show next week, and his first ever show is gonna be in an "Evil Dixie" era.

TNA always seem to think that "smart fans" are just chomping at the bit for juicy, fourth wall breaking worked shoots. They fail to realize that CM Punk's "pipe bomb" was a perfect storm of a guy voicing opinions of frustration that the viewing audience shared but WWE's worst offense at that time really was just being creatively unfulfilling. The public perception is that TNA is on its death knell, that's not exactly a great time to be doing this worked shoot nonsense. There's still residual outrage of TNA firing a guy who almost got paralyzed on their watch, guys are dropping like flies and they're losing money by the truck load and they think that "smart" fans are gonna buy this concept that the only thing up AJ Styles' ass is that the X division is sub par?

I love this post. They target the audience they piss off the most vocally. Except, the reasons they piss us off are legitimate, and this storyline is bullshit that'll just come off as trying too hard to be cool, rather than quality storytelling. They are where they are for a reason, and it's moments like the night Dixie teased turning heel that paint TNA the way that a lot of people see it. Nobody asked for Dixie to be an on-screen character. Just like nobody asked for Hogan to come in with Bischoff and de-emphasize everything that made TNA fun at one point, in lieu of making TNA, the company, this struggling character on it's own show. A character in and of itself is not good enough for the big time, and has countless guys that "need to step up". They were doing fine before the basis of the company changed from young and hungry to young and not good enough on the Hulk Hogan scale. Whatever that means. They deserve all the hate they can get for shit like this. People who look the other way are going to one day wonder what ended this company, and moments like this and similar to it will be pointed to, whether or not they were the straw that broke the camel's back.

It's a derivative angle and it feels like one. TNA keeps trying to outdo WWE and it's exactly that, that has kept them treading water for the past 4 years.
