Am I crazy or could Christina Hendricks have been a better April? Better actress (yeah, well not a big feat), and has certain April attributes (red hair and, well, you know...). And she WAS an April before, in the movie "Struck By Lightning."
/I actually heartily recommend SBL, by the way...

Honestly, after seeing the trailer I'm still willing to give the movie a chance. After the shitty abominations that were the Michael Bay Transformers' flicks -- I was expecting much, much worse. Ah, but remember, all the TF trailers made those look decent. We haven't seen the inevitable fart jokes, adult humor, and possibly racial stereotypes passing as characterization/comic relief. /Waiting for Splinter to show up as a midget ching-chong-Chinaman type who mixes up his L's and R's. |

The sad thing is that the film will most likely make money, and a lot of it. This proves my theory that years ago driving in a blizzard instead of sliding off the road and getting back on, like I remember, what really happened is I died and have been in hell ever since. Sorry guys your all just part of my hell matrix.

Honestly, if I was making a Turtle movie, I'd have maybe Amy Adams as April (even though she might be in danger of typecasting after playing Lois Lane) and Don Cheadle as Baxter Stockman. Ken Watanabe as Splinter. The Turtles themselves would just be the Nick Turtles adjusted to fit in live action.
Also, either Lana Del Rey or Muse does the theme. I'd have it like a Bond movie with mutants.

I just can't support this movie in any way.
Bay wanted the Turtles to be aliens for god sakes, and was thankfully shot to smithereens.
I don't care if the concept was changed, I'm not giving Michael Bay any of my money after he blatantly tried to bastardize the source material.

It's incredibly sad that a fan could make the Turtles look proper with just some minor photoshop tweaking in the face, as oppose to a company with millions of dollars behind them. What could have been. So the rumor of the movie being pushed back for reshoots is shot down as an April Fools joke, but not the one that gives us spoilers for the movie... Sigh...shouldn't this movie be called Teenage Mutant Tortoise Humans? |

So what's the over/under on one or more of them making the DreamWorks Face (TM)  ? The one nice thing I can say is at least the Turtles look closer to their source material than the Erector Sets that were supposed to be the Transformers.
